JUST A BAD APPLE GUYS
The issue isn't lying in the bad apples, but the poisoned and dying tree they were created from.
JUST A BAD APPLE GUYS
Lol, are you implying its not? There are bad things in everything, ever.
What was he in jail for?
What was he in jail for?
Assault. Of whom, it was never specified.
Why does every US article mention the military past of a person? It really doesn't seem relevant to me.
It's a recent trend, probably trying to convey that our occupation of other countries is entirely futile since we can't even get our own shit in order.
JUST A BAD APPLE GUYS
No one wants to read stories about good police officers.
No one wants to read stories about good police officers.
ummm I do? All this news about terrible, horrible cops is grinding at me, I can take it, but after a while it gets really old to hear about how a "Cop beat a handicap to death" or "Maced a pregnant woman" because they looked at them wrong.

All this news about terrible, horrible cops is grinding at me, I can take it, but after a while it gets really old to hear about how a "Cop beat a handicap to death" or "Maced a pregnant woman" because they looked at them wrong.
I suppose that there's rarely a nice situation for a cop to be in that specifically notes that he is a cop. For instance, if there were a super-cool BBQ at Ted's place it wouldn't be required you know somebody there was a cop, would it? In an ideal world, there would be strong police presence. In a utopian one, there would be no police at all.

It'd be like publishing an article about how a postman efficiently delivered the mail, pretty boring.
What the fuck is with the police brutality in America? I know someone is going to go "hurr durr only report about bad cops" etc, but you simply don't hear about this shit happening in places like Britain, not to the extent where there's a new police brutality story every day.
The US has a population of 300,000,000 people, events like this are most likely going to be more common than countries with smaller populations, maybe a cultural thing too.
I know it's just the bad apples that do this and the good cops never get a mention, but god damn, is it ever annoying/unnerving how these stories are becoming so common and frequent.
I know it's just the bad apples that do this and the good cops never get a mention, but god damn, is it ever annoying/unnerving how these stories are becoming so common and frequent.
It's a good thing that incidents like these are brought to light so that people will be made aware of how fucked up the system is. Otherwise people will place too much trust in authority.
I know it's just the bad apples that do this and the good cops never get a mention, but god damn, is it ever annoying/unnerving how these stories are becoming so common and frequent.
Remember this very important detail: Whenever a 8-9 size quake happens, for weeks you hear about 5 size quakes in the news as if it isn't an everyday occurance and people are like "wtf earth"
Alright, I know it's ridiculous to say "It's just another bad apple" but I honestly don't think the majority of cops are crooked. Sure, there are probably too many than I'm comfortable admitting, but some of you make it out to be "Awful lot of police brutality in America... can't be coincidental anymore!" I think it's just a problem of people having too much power for too long.
Where are the articles about Cop's being hero's and doing more than just catching criminals?
If you want heroes, you need extreme circumstances for them to act under, say, a fire. Fortunately, there aren't so many such things lately, leaving the only notable events as occasions of police brutality and unlawful abuse in the cause of justice. Basically, everyone is too damned good at their jobs to allow anyone else to be even more so than them.
"Jonathan Brackworth, Florida cop was a pretty cool guy today - more at 11."
Actually, I would totally watch that.
