About to go to sleep and its really rainy and windy like I've never experienced before I hope we don't get a repeat of 2011
They had to close schools around here, mine is delayed till Wednesday anyone else?
Welp, woke up to news helicopters flying over and people evacuating. It'll be better than last time, but around us are all low lying roads, so we'll be totally fine and in no danger, while around the corner is under 5m of water, etc.

I'm currently waiting for the power to go out in my area. The One Mile bridge went under, and there are live power lines dangling in the water. Scary stuff around Ipswich
Well looks like the worst is gone. I had a huge part of a tree come down right beside my carport, took out all my new huge bamboo filled pots, tore out an embankment, and littered the driveway in impassable tree bits. Was up to 4am today just scrambling like an idiot to rope and tie and hammer bits of my place together as the insane wind kept ripping things away and threatening to make my carport take off like a hot air balloon... Just came into work, there's no power in the streets, and everyone has a tree down or a car smashed out the front of their place. The parks are flooded, and council workers are everywhere trying to fix ruined power lines. Somehow, this is actually WORSE than those 2011 floods, damage wise. When those 2011 floods hit our property was A-OK and everything was totally fine here in town. Incredible. Also check this out; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZD99TDijwE That's insane, it's like over a meter of foam. I normally drive that strip every day pretty much.

I like how, this morning I couldn't get home as all the roads were underwater near my house. Its been 8 hours and its 30 degrees outside and I'm sweating.
Guys, my uncle just called complaining about the water. Glad to know he and the family are ok.
My university cancelled class today since half the lecturers are stuck and can't get into the uni, meanwhile the lake next to us is flooded and encroaching on the campus :\
Death toll is up to four now, a 3 yr old was hit by a falling tree. :(
