A trained women is as dangerous if not moreso than a male counterpart.
Several studies have shown that females are better at endurance hunting then men.
Let's see the best female boxer versus Muhammad Ali in his prime.
[editline]18th December 2013[/editline]
I say the men put forward their best champion and so do the women each year, and then we fight it out. Not with bottom wing fighters.
That wouldn't really be fair would it? :v:
I'd rather see two skilled fighters. Really? A fighter with a 0-1 professional record and another with no record at all.
If this fight turns out to be shit, there's not gonna be another Male vs. Female in a long time.
Anyway, i'm very excited.
just remember that's their UFC record. you have to have quite a lot of MMA fights or training under your belt before they let you into the UFC
Interesting to say the least.

Wasn't this an exhibition?
On average a man will have a distinct advantage over a woman when it comes to combat, considering one evolved for that purpose. However that doesn't mean the woman has to lose, just that if you had 100 men vs 100 women with the same health condition and hours of training, the victories would lean heavily towards men.
That doesn't mean a certain woman can't beat a certain man. She could very well have similar physical characteristics as the man, as individuals can deviate from the norm. Even if she didn't, she could simply have trained more and/or have a mind with more disposed towards the coordination needed.
Fedoras and legbeards please stop arguing about that now.

i reckon when it comes to MMA though it's way more down to the person themself. you see so many different fighting styles and body types duke it out in UFC and normally what it comes down to is whoever is the more skilled fighter
You see, this is casual sexism at play. Automatic and baseless assumption of inferiority/fragility.
There's no shame in being beaten by a skilled female fighter. Likewise if she's a competent fighter she'll have no issue with being beaten by another fighter. I highly doubt she's won every fight she's every been in, I'm pretty sure being a professional MMA fighter and all may make her physically qualified to lose a round.
I'm curious to see how this plays out. This kind of stuff should be happening on principle, it's just strange that it happened first in MMA of all things.
they're not saying it's shameful to lose to a girl, they're saying that's sadly the general opinion on the subject, and that's why he's gonna lose rep if the woman beats him
Why? Women have a different set of advantages compared to a man, but I think they're still fairly balanced. You've never seen a woman with bloodlust, have you?
...have you seen a man with bloodlust?
they kill people
Except most colleges these days have a majority of women and that kind of shows that they're generally a little bit smarter than dudes lol
You clearly haven't seen the Royal Institute of Technology. It's a sausage fest.
I haven't seen a girl in years. I thought I did once but it was just a guy with long hair and a neckbeard.
Of course there are women who can kick serious ass.
There are also men who can kick serious ass.
But general consensus seems to be that men have a higher limit on ass-kickery than women.
I don't agree with this as I don't have an opinion on it but eh

I see no reason why men and women shouldn't be able to compete in MMA, especially considering that MMA is more about technique than raw power.
If women actually are worse at fighting than men, then pitting them against men to challenge them to learn how to fight on the same level would probably be a lot better than assuming that "they'll always be inferior". If it really is about technique rather than brute force, then putting women in a scenario where they're able to discover the techniques that works against men seems like something you'd want (well you know, unless they start kicking places they shouldn't)
Wasn't this an exhibition?
Yeah it was an exhibition/demo for Vovinam, a Vietnamese martial art.

the gif is from 4:53 to 4:56 in the video.

No pro would throw a punch like that.
Back when I was taking lessons in Krav-Maga we used to call those "hot dog stand punches"

First thing I imagined.
How long's it been since you've been in a good fight? I wouldn't pass it up if I got the chance.
Outside of training? I dunno! Like, middle school, maybe? I am totally not a fighter. Most of the things that people fight over aren't worth fighting for.
I once read that women have higher natural pain tolerance than men. I wonder if that's true.

Thats cuz they haven't experienced kidney stones, lololol

What are you talking about? Women get kidney stones too
What are you talking about? Women get kidney stones too
it was a joke...
it was a joke...
Oh, NOW I get it! HA ha HA
it was a joke...
apparently they thought the lololol was the mark of a truly serious post!
I'm always serious etc etc
she will win the the power of BUNDA
i laughed at this more than i should have
Looking at the pictures of them both. I'd say she doesn't have much chance. That dude is fucking ripped. He most certainly lifts bro.
what if he gets a boner
**TARGET ACQUIRED**
I hope it's fair and full of effort from both parties. I don't want to see any holding back from both parties because they're different sexes. If the dude wins, that's fine. If the chick wins, that's fine. I honestly don't see the big deal.
I'm really interested in this. Since I don't have any fighting skills she would kick my ass

What about Rocky Marciano?
I once read that women have higher natural pain tolerance than men. I wonder if that's true.
Doubt it.
Nothing will ever compare to the pain of being hit in the balls. Just thinking about it hurts.

How about childbirth? Cluster headaches?
Or if you're just talking about certain strikes to the body, cunt punt hurts pretty badly if you make it all the way to the pubic bone.
But yeah if you thing nothing compares to nut checks, you don't know what pain is.
