I donated and am excited! I think it should definitely come back. And CH has expressed that he wants it to be different and with Kickstarter, he has the freedom to do so. The Reddit was interesting and provided more info. go away
You'd think a show that boils down to being about internet trolling would be a little less obvious in its attempts to astroturf or whatever.
He looks so different in the Kickstarter video compared to old clips. He did not age well.

People gave me hella shit on Facebook because before this Kickstarter was announced I saw how he doesn't even look like the same person combined with the poor production values and insistence on using the "Have a seat" meme, so I thought it was a bogus campaign.

Dumbass memes are the best way to get redditors to donate.
It's about half way in funding, but there are still twenty days left.
he looks like he gained about 15 lbs and fought in a war before deciding to make this kickstarter
I threw $20 bucks at it the other day. I'm looking forward to it and hey! I get a Coffee Mug if it goes through! :v:
The New Jersey episode where that little Asian guy faints and crashes into the mini bar is Gold.
It seems like kickstarter reached it's goal sadly, it seems like...

I really thought the kick-starter wouldn't make it, well good for them, bad for the predators.
Hell yeah I can't wait. I've seen everything he's done

i'd like to point out that he's set up his goal really weirdly
all of the actual "show" stuff is all stretch goals (i think he misunderstands how stretch goals work)

sadly? this is going to be awesome.

There is going to be a lot of people let go from this one just as the last one due to faulty evidence and investigative problems.

It's better than a child molester getting to actually molest a kid.
And according to the wikipedia page for Perverted Justice it seems that only happened in one city, and PJ disputes the district attorney's claims.

- Scout Locations
- Design a set
But no actual show to use them for, i am so confused what was kickstarted here.
Christ only this site you will find so many pedophile apologists
What do you even mean by that?
What do you even mean by that?
a shitton of people on this thread are defending pedophiles
I would consider this extremely questionable ethics regardless of the crime committed.

I think it's more that the show is in bad taste and questionable morality than anything else.
I'm fine with the police doing it. It's when vigilantes and an entertainment show combine forces it starts to look really dodgy.
The sick and wrong podcast just did an interview with Chris Hanson if anyone's interested in listening, they talk about some of the stuff you guys are debating. Here's a link if anyone's interested http://www.sickandwrongpodcast.com/
14 cases got fucked up by this show, and that's 14 too many. Entertainment should not take the place of the law.

i think they've managed to learn from the mistakes they made in those cases and they will be able to avoid such situations in the future.

They didn't learn the 13 times before, I doubt they'd learn after the 14th. The only way to actually prevent it in the first place is to just not have the show.
pretty sure all those 14 were in one continuous sting in one episode, or in two stings in two episodes. not sure though.

23 were in a single sting, the others were strewn throughout.

Yeah I think the real issue is that the whole concept for the show borders dangerously close to vigilante/mob justice
Crimes are something that should be judged and dealt with through the legal system, not like some kind of public spectacle. There's just too much risk that impartiality will be compromised one way or another given the entire nature of the show.
Not to mention that outing people with treatable mental issues as criminal laughing stocks is a fairly immortal thing to do.
Because let's be honest, the last thing they'll provide these people is psychiatric help and treatment.
