Because it makes sense, you wouldn't have as big of a gap between dying fields such as biology and medicine (here, that is the case).
how are those fields dying
last i heard, biology is doing pretty well
You do understand that just going "Because it makes sense" is not support for your argument at all, correct? It's circular reasoning and not evidence. "Why is it right?" "Because it makes sense." "Why does it make sense?" "Because it is right." "Why is it right?" "Because it makes sense." etc.
Because its a untestable theory. I believe that is correct because it makes sense to me. I don't consider myself the devil here because he tried to prove it incorrect by saying that the USSR cracked down on sciences that didn't align with their social agenda.
because the wages are dropping as a proportion of wealth in the system.
except real wages are still increasing
how are those fields dying

Not here, people are moving to the most profitable fields and leaving the fields that don't profit.
I believe that is correct because it makes sense to me.
lmao
how are those fields dying
last i heard, biology is doing pretty well
While perhaps not pure Biology, Biomedical Engineering is the fastest growing field in the entire country and is expected to remain so for at least the next ten years.
lmao
That isn't debating either. No wonder you dislike the mass debate section.
Not here, people are moving to the most profitable fields and leaving the fields that don't profit.
how does this mean that those fields would do any better under communism
they did worse, partly because some research was banned
since i can't access either of those properly i'm going to go with the null hypothesis which is that it is pseudoscience
I can list more but they're mostly books from the 40s, 80s, and 90s, and thus I can't really post them on here. False consciousness isn't incredibly popular anyway because a.) no one uses that term anymore, they call it "internalized oppression" and b.) false consciousness isn't pivotal to the Communist Revolution, it's more an explanation of contemporary society.
Honestly, though, internalized oppression is highly prominent within modern social justice. It's pretty much a cornerstone of any discussion about oppression. Questioning its existence is like questioning the existence of misogyny.

but false consciousness is a cop-out
its basically saying "disagree with us and you are deluded"
:C

how does this mean that those fields would do any better under communism

'they did worse' is a attempt to disprove me right? Because its incorrect since you haven't presented any data and if you're going to go for the 'well USSR did x and x' that is also incorrect.
except real wages are still increasing
so?

Doesn't matter if you post there, it just reflects on you poorly if you're going to make retarded posts here and not there just because you can get away with it without being banned.
Not here, people are moving to the most profitable fields and leaving the fields that don't profit.
This is sadly very true.
Everything is all about making a bloody profit even at the expense of long-term life of people and the future of humanity in general. We wouldn't have high-tech mineral crisis now if we didn't waste it on products that are manufactured to break down to keep people buying new ones to replace them.

That doesn't mean it's not a real phenomenon.

they actively suppressed shit for political purposes
[editline]9th February 2013[/editline]
so?
therefore, people have more money to spend?
Sobotnik are you arguing for the sake of arguing?
Because I don't see what's the goal here dragging it on
This is sadly very true.

So you think people should only be allowed to make certain things, and be disallowed from making other things? Who would decide what would and wouldn't be made? Obviously you wouldn't want things put up to an egalitarian democratic vote, or things would stay the same as they are right now. So you support an oligarchy of some sort?

peak resources will eventually force manufacturers to start recycling as prices rise

What is your point? How does USSR's political policies prove me incorrect?
Sobotnik are you arguing for the sake of arguing?

no i'm not in favour of communism
not as a proportion to the money in the system.
What is your point? How does USSR's political policies prove me incorrect?
because that was a communist country that suppressed scientific findings
because that was a communist country that suppressed scientific findings
So?
because that was a communist country that suppressed scientific findings
no it was a state capitalist country suppressing scientific findings.
not as a proportion to the money in the system.
but they have increased
in proportion doesn't matter
they STILL increased

I only mentioned current state of things and you are shoveling all this shit into my mouth already.
