Salvation was a gritty realistic grimdark war film with robots, not a Terminator film (sans the Arnold terminator at the end), it had nothing in common with the future war scenes of the first three films. i'm not saying that it should have been 80's plasmalaser pew pew action, but going against 7 foot tall walking tanks with bullet weapons? i mean come on. and it shat all over the canon too, what the hell happened to hiding during day and guerrilla-warring at night? and the hybrid cyborg terminator thing was absolutely ridiculous
it was a god-awful grey and brown Call of Duty: Terminator: The Film and Bale's performance as John Connor was dull; hell everyone in the movie except maybe Anton Yelchin was a dull fuck
For a terminator I don't really imagine aging 65 year old man skin covering a futuristic robot, but without him its not really the same either so I dunno shit.
I loved Twins, can't wait for 2.

I liked the first 2 best of course, but I still liked 4. Can't remember if I liked 3, but what little memory I have of it I at least felt the plot was decent.

i'm 99% certain they will CGI his face and he will just provide voice and face model. like they will put small dots all over his face to capture his facial movements and then put it on a 3d model that looks younger.

They didn't with 3 and he was noticeably older looking in that.
TBH I think it can be handled perfectly fine just by not acknowledging it any way. No need for some silly shoe in explanation like "omg this t800 has been around for over 100 years so its tissue component is degrading", just don't even address it. You'll take people out of the moment more by trying to explain it rather than just going with it.

I liked salvation, I don't know what people are bitching about. It had a great aesthetic, the only thing it suffered from was some kind of dumb plot points and it felt like it was just trying to get to the next set piece as fast as possible.
Thats just because McGee is an inexperienced director being given big budget projects. If you've seen any of his previous films, you can immediately see how much of a dramatic improvement he has made in his work. Lest anyone forget this dude was a music video director to begin with.
I used to talk shit about mcgee because charlies angels and shit was BAD, but credit to him he listens objectively to the shit people talk about him and he takes it on board and improves. Most dudes of his ilk stick their head in the sand and pretend that the schlock they put out is gold.
Hell yes, Arnie owns. He should totally do Last Action Hero II and take the piss out of Michael Bay style movies, the first LAH was one of his best movies alongside Terminator and T2
