please oh lord and savior zeke, explain to everyone how "hazing" is mincing words.
For one thing 'hazing' is a non specific word. It's like saying they did something 'wrong', it obscures the true nature of their actions. My opinion, based on people I know in real life, is that the main reason no one wants to call it sexual assault is because they did it or went through it themselves. People in general would rather not be reminded of their own experiences as either the offender or victim. Plus a lot of parents won't want to call it that due to their desire to protect their kids from these kinds of charges. It's easier to wave it off by saying "It's just hazing" instead of asking Junior why he likes jamming something up another guy's butt.
please oh lord and savior zeke, explain to everyone how "hazing" is mincing words.
I feel that most people don't exactly pair hazing with sexual assault, rape, etc. They think of it more as, 'ok some seniors made the pledges do some nasty stuff under their own will so they could be accepted, sure it can be rough but it brings the brotherhood together, etc', at least that's what I feel the general public's view on it is. But here we have people who pinned a guy to the floor, put their fingers in his anus, then put said fingers in his mouth. I wouldn't even call it hazing and just straight up call it sexual assault/rape.
I got the impression that his responses where ineffective and probably excessive. But maybe I was wrong to think that. Maybe he somehow beat them up in an appropriate fashion and maybe they never caused him problems again. This could be testament to violence as a solution.
Most families that I know in America teach to never start a fight, but if someone tries to hurt you there is no wrong in defending yourself. It makes sense naturally too. If a bear is about to rip your face off you don't sit there and take it, because that ignores fight or flight completely [editline]12th October 2014[/editline] In Deathtroopers2's case they started it, they tried to sexually harass him so he had every right to meet them with equal force (I say equal because they held him down)
What is Hazing? - Oh wait.. god no that's terrible.
I think I'd just start biting. Not saying that that would be the smart move, but if I were in that situation I think I'd just see red, clamp my jaws down and not let go.
if this was the uk it would just be called "banter" and swept under the rug the subcultures of sports teams is so fucking weird
Really? Because I have never heard of this kind of thing even happening in the UK, let alone being condoned.
Really? Because I have never heard of this kind of thing even happening in the UK, let alone being condoned.
Join a sport or drinking society at university.
When I was on the Freshman team for my High School (I had been playing for like 7 seasons at that point, yet for some reason the head coach felt that I was 'too short' to play so I never actually got to practice or play), one day at practice this chick I had never seen in my life comes up to me and offered me a handjob. I was suspicious as hell so I said no, plus the fact that these three assholes who I didn't really like were saying "Oh no man it's fine she just gave each of us a handjob, it's cool man", I didn't trust it at all. As well, the girl was trying to guilt me into it "Don't you think I'm pretty?" and stuff like that. The more I think about it, the more I feel that those three would have pulled some dumbass hazing type thing.
Really? Because I have never heard of this kind of thing even happening in the UK, let alone being condoned.
Well because over here in the US, the fucking media makes you think that if you are the person who fucks the most, you are going to be number one in life. And our fucking music industry just keeps going with this damn concept mostly because of Jayz, Bruno Mars, and that little bitch Justin beiber. Thats why i listen to good old stuff like bad company, led zeppelin, and blue oyster cult.
Well i should of said a better statement, basically what i did is that i got pissed off at the person who kept doing it to me over a while. Basically what i did was that i grabbed him, slammed him into the locker and yelled at him to never do it again, i didn't really beat him up though, just told him if he did that shit again i would go ballistic.
It sounds like you put that punk-ass in his place. And it doesn't sound half as serious as I imagined.
Also i had some sort of anger issues back then, usually people would try to piss me off easily by doing that shit to me. Thats why i got enraged most of the time
Similar thing with one of my old friends. Except the assholes never left the school, he did. He was verbally and sometimes physically harassed by students everyday, he was very quick to anger, and people provoked him just to get the reaction. He'd get so angry at them. Vocally or sometimes physically lashing in a feeble attempt to stop their behavior towards him. It started a tit for tat. The more erratic he got, the more of a target he became. His reputation as an angry cry baby got worse and worse, he got angrier and sadder over time. One day, he got insulted by a wimpy scumbag, and my friend had had enough, he punched the shithead so hard that the guy bled, it was a big ordeal. My friend got in trouble with the teachers, naturally, and then he was gone from the school. It was sad to see him go because he didn't deserve that shit. And I thought you might be in a situation like him.
And for the people comparing what i did to get the guy to knock it off compared that to a girlfriend, i would never, in my life do that to a woman.
I did not mean what everyone seems to think I mean't. I wasn't saying that you beat up your girlfriend. This is the last time I'll explain. Then I'm done explaining for good. If telling someone to "knock it off" could mean "beating the shit out of them", like I thought you were suggesting... then "knock it off" could be used as a sly and dark euphemism. So I went ahead and used "knock it off" as a euphemism for domestic violence, in order to mock your use of the phrase. It was darkly comedic and witty, at least from my apparently alien perspective.
Meanwhile I'm in the dressing room with about twenty girls changing into costume, and I'm the gay one because I can sing?
