Wouldn't it skyrocket none the less when the movie actually comes out on DVD?
It all depends on how much they put into the advertising, I've seen movies for sale on DVD that I never heard a word about a release date for.
Christ, it's not the "death of the industry". You're paying about the same cost as 3 or 4 people going to the movies, but you're watching it from the comfort of your own home. It would be cheaper for my family and I to use this than to go to the movies where it ends up costing around 50$. Tickets here cost around 9-10$ a person. Not that I'll use this though; I can wait 6 months for a movie to come out before I get it on DVD or Blu-ray.
Piracy numbers rise Hollywood pulls stupid stunt because of piracy Industry dies
That's more than going to the movies and seeing it.
Piracy numbers rise Hollywood pulls stupid stunt because of piracy Industry dies
Industry never dies
This has already been gone over. All you need is a capture card and you can get a full quality rip of the movie before it even leaves theaters.
doesn't mean piracy is going to skyrocket, it'll just happen earlier
doesn't mean piracy is going to skyrocket, it'll just happen earlier
The hype for a movie is much higher before it comes out in theaters, if people can get DVD quality copies of the movie while they're still hyped up from the theater release instead of a few months later, people are more likely to want it
If you have a 4 or 5 person family, then 30 bucks can easily work out as cheaper than the movies. Not only will you come out ahead on ticket prices, but you can eat whatever the hell you want. Sure most people would still prefer the movies, but there may be a market for this.
You can't share the same video with a person. Thats just like streaming is it not? They have to pay for their own damn copy to watch it.
You can't share the same video with a person. Thats just like streaming is it not? They have to pay for their own damn copy to watch it.
Sharing is caring. Sharing is piracy now. Gimme back my candy bitch!
Oh man they're going to loose a lot of money on this.
