I would say this crisis has more weight of actually turning into a war then those two were... Also a few years ago NK became a nuclear power... so it is up to pair with the same amount of a threat as Cuba was to the united states as NK is a threat to SK with its nukes.

Well will the US or UK be attacked? I mean, the US hasn't turned into a war zone with either of the wars in the Middle East, so maybe it won't be too bad. Then again, I know virtually nothing about war or the difference in military power. Can someone tell me what the realistic consequences of this would be?

Let's hope that our Missile Defense System keeps us safe. The US turning into a war zone won't happen, but it's safe to also assume that if a war happens, North and South Korea will be at war with US Involvement, and possibly China + other countries.

Not the best fed in the world, not the best armed. The only worry is for the safety of civvies in SK and the potential for NK's allies to help out.
