As in, lag spikes, stuttering, spending 20 minutes to load a youtube video in 240p.

Make sure you're using a good ISP (like Internode) and an Australian DNS server, since switching my download speed on Origin and XBL has tripled.
Edit: Internode are awesome, everybody should use Internode, Internode run native IPv6!

I have no real trouble with my internet apart from the shoddy Telstra router disconnecting when a particle of dust lands on it but our internet entirely is hardly up to scratch with other parts of the world.

I was thinking of getting a new one but my friend told me to wait until the NBN thing was set up. I went with that because I had no idea what it was or what it did.

Which is why I'll always say that Labor's worst thing they did was have that leadership crisis. It made fools out of the Australian public and disengaged a lot of supporters from the party. I know it seems like I'm going on a tirade against Kevin Rudd, but as charming as the man is, in office he had bought it on himself.

Firstly, gay marriage is a much needed right we've been deprived of for too long, and it is garnering more and more support amongst the Australian public as time goes on. Labor had the right idea of supporting it, and the Liberals would need to support it in the future to keep office.
Secondly, if we follow the logic of putting off fibre optics because something better might come along, the Liberals would be doing an ultimate nationwide impression of the Duke Nukem Forever dev team. Just delaying and delaying constantly, hoping we can achieve something even better and not sticking to a set in stone plan. For a Coalition supporter who is insistent that he knows an awful lot about financial management, you certainly lack a lot of foresight.
