When did actual Japanese Mastercrafted Katana's become common place in the Southern United States?
So no EP3 huh?
people always forget that VALVe works in teams. the team currently working on Episode 3 has been doing so since the episodes were first announced.
I'm loving what valve is doing with TF2 right now as we speak, so I can say very well that I'm patient in waiting for EP3 info.

It's a game stop nerdsperging over dumb stuff
Sounds awesome.

every japan fan in america either has one or wants one.
there are a lot of japan fans in america

I'm pretty sure there is sword shops around. But, it would be pretty useless, since only the japanese are good at crafting these swords
The katana is there for the weeaboos.
I speak the truth.
Any person with 2 braincells can figure out how to swing a katana at unarmed raging zombies provided they have the arm strength to hold it and aren't stupid enough to stab themselves with it.
You need proper training to use one properly so you don't cleave the people around you
You know, I hate how people are complaining about EP3. Valve is working on several games right now. They're updating L4D1, they JUST released an update for TF2 adding new content, and they're working on L4D2, releasing new information at a somewhat constant interval. People should be praising Valve for their dedication to their games, as well as the free content they provide.
So STOP BITCHING
:buddy:
When they said amusement parks, Disney World came to my mind.
After all, it is on Florida, right? And Florida is on South. So I guess that, but I should be wrong.

who's to say the katana in the game isn't japanese made? you can buy japanese crafted katanas all over america. every sword, uh, store sells more imported stuff than not.

new orleans i thought
[editline]10:35AM[/editline]
which is Louisiana
[editline]10:40AM[/editline]
anyway i don't think the katana is a good idea anyway. no one can just pick one up and kill people with it without screwing up one way or another. and it's not really that efficient, anyway. a machete or something like that would be much better

Funny you should mention that, I've been working on a campaign set in Epcot.
Anyway, I think it's good they're doing a generic amusement park instead of a specific one, that way it gives people more freedom to make their own levels with those art assets. The ability to make whatever theme park they want, instead of using art assets that are themed after a specific park.
Funny you should mention that, I've been working on a campaign set in Epcot.
Are you kidding me? EPCOT is my favorite theme park of the whole resort.
Just do one thing, make a zombie Figment. Hahahaha, just kidding.
I would simply LOVE to beta test that campaing. I BEG you.
would be pretty badass for a long wooden stick to make an appearance as a weapon.

The fuck is a katana gonna do in the hands of some random person?
Give nerds boners, that's what.
a chain saw must be in every zombie game are you kidding
that's like a rule
We need to send some people down to the Steam forums to talk some sense into the kids that yelled at Valve to do this.
"yEAH it woud be awsum if there was katana ninja swords so I can be a ninja gangsterrrr."

Yeah but they're not real. You cannot get the real steel crafted Katana's they use in combat. Only a handful of places make actual ones in Japan now a days. Much less having several dozen located in various areas around the Southern United States.
I should also mention a real one will set you back $20,000 about as much as a small car.

The former anime fan in me would say it would be worth it, the current me would tell him to shut the fuck up fag, then the homophobe in me would panic.
[editline]01:50AM[/editline]
God damn it, why no edit button, that was a stupid post.
Buying a Katana would be stupid and a waste of money. Not to mention near impossible if you're not fluent in Japanese.
Yeah baby, Yeah!
why did I bust out laughing to seeing this? also zombie arm sounds badass.
Buying a Katana would be stupid and a waste of money. Not to mention near impossible if you're not fluent in Japanese.
I know this, but back when I was a weaboo, I would of said it was worth it. I was just adding on.
Also, what is with games thinking you know how to use a weapon with no prior training?
Because it's badass apparently. I think it's stupid and cliche. Just like Chainsaws. I cut firewood for work, I've used a chainsaw. They're heavy and loud. They run on a fuel source, the chains go dull if you hit ANYTHING other then wood, which includes dirt, it also tangles the chain most of the time. Swinging a chainsaw is near impossible, doing so would result in user injury. Human bone is much, much stronger then wood is, it'd dull the blades and all the flesh, muscle and tendons would clog the blade and send it off it's tracks.
The only time you've heard chainsaws being used as weapons are post-murder to chop up bodies. That's because it's near impossible to A- Sneak up on someone B- Hit them with the blade
Fucking Valve is jerking off the weeaboo and frat-boy crowd.

I doubt you'd be able to find one when everybody is a zombie and you live in the Southern United States.
Why not...Have a Crowbar as a weapon, no? To have a HL reference.

People would say it's lazy because they just took the stuff from Half Life 2
