Serves them right

People still believe this nonsense?
If you had an idea how much training, effort and spirit goes into football you wouldn't say that. Even the most expensive players today are much more than 'overpaid VIPs'. They got paid for being exceptional, extraordinary players, not the other way around.
People see football hooliganism from overenthusiastic fans and just dismiss the whole sport. That's retarded.

no more fun
Just have one ref watching the match as everyone else does(aka the replays) on HD TV and have him talk over a mic with the ref on the field. That way you don't get shit like this happening again.
That red was the single most scandalous red ive ever seen ( lol quote estonian commentators) you get a red if you intentionally go fuck someone, not when you crassh into someone with too much momentum. There was no intent, no damage, no reason whatsoever.
That bullshit could have cost the Italians the game. This is not good sportsmanship
I disagree. He lifted his leg way after the ball had passed both of them. That's dangerous play with intent and calls for a red card.

yeh i'm sure soccer players, who risk their entire education and young life for a chance to be paid to play soccer, who train all day every single day, with no chance of anything resembling a normal life and normal family, don't give a shit about soccer. yeh not one bit

This was literally, exactly what happened here today. Continuous car honking for an entire hour. Ugh.

They'll start bitching about the referee anyway...

France and Belgium too.
as a certified fifa referee, the red card was justified.
as a certified fifa referee, the red card was justified.
then explain why
<snip, forget i said anything, i should've watched the play on youtube>
the red card is actually a pretty weak card to sell, but it is technically justifiable under excessive force
however, my opinion is that it should've been a yellow because the foul fits reckless play more than it does excessive force
Apparently Chiellini's mark was already on his shoulder in 2012...

Talk about "cheap morality" like Oscar said...
