skip to approximately 1:25 for today's strikes carried out by the Jordanians.
Uhm remind me again why is Before It's News a credible source?
but you also shouldn't be sitting in a suit and tie a long ways from actual combat.
why not, if that's what they dedicated their whole lives to? they're trained for sitting in a suit and tie and making decisions from home, not for military operations. are you only going to elect presidents that have military training?

Ironically, the president holds the title "Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces".

Because he ultimately decides when they go to war and how the US military is supposed to act towards things, doesn't mean he needs to be on the front.

That's the job for Congress, not POTUS.

While he is a civilian, he is also the former commander of Jordan's special operations forces so it wouldn't really be unusual in comparison to say, Obama dropping JDAMs over Raqqa from Air Fighter One
[editline]6th February 2015[/editline]
I'd also like to add that King Abdullah II is apparently a trained cobra pilot and has extensive military history.
Like hes a total fucking bad ass in his own right, if any monarch were to be fit for carrying out strike missions it'd be him
Legend.
Wasn't the last US president to come from a civilian background and personally learn about military tactics and history during their term Abe Lincoln?
He was a cool dude.
Obama didn't serve, Clinton didn't, neither did quite a few others such as wilson, martin van buren, etc.. Though it still stands that a majority of presidents do come from military backgrounds.
edit: actually afaik lincoln did actually serve in the military for a bit, and fought against indians.
Anyone know what aircraft they flew for the mission?
F-16s probably
Good. About time we start fucking with these ISIS fucks.
I just heard on the radio that an all-female sect of ISIS put out flyers announcing things like "Girls as young as 9 years old can be married off" and that being married at that age is considered the ultimate honor or something.

He fought in the Black Rivers Campaign.

He actually looks like he's actually a mean falcon that was turned into an Arab guy and strapped into an F-16 Falcon.
