Big Bang Theory stars sign new contracts, become highest-paid TV actors at $1m-per-episode

BAZINGA!
This kind of thing is common for stars of popular long-running sitcoms
Toward the end of "Everybody Loves Raymond" Ray Romano was making $1.8 million per episode
I rewatched them recently and 1+2 are good, I think the main thing that ruined it for me was when they decided to make everyone have a weird farfetched relationship which ruined a lot of the relatable/plausible side of it.
That goddamn Sheldon/Amy relationship was so fucking stupid that it almost single-handedly made me stop watching the show
That is a nauseatingly large amount of money for what constitutes as acting in a sitcom these days.
Oh boy, it's hate Big Bang time again! Just dropping this here:
It is the number #1 comedy on television, so obviously many people think it's funny, but again most on Facepunch doesn't see how humor is subjective. Everything they like, everyone else should like. What they don't like, is obviously bad.
My dad and stepmom love Big Bang Theory. I'll watch it just for the sake of spending time with them, so I can promise you I have seen many, many episodes, and it is not a great show. I genuinely enjoy most of the characters and the way the actors behave, but some main actors are really awful (Amy Farrafowler's actress above all, oh lord, she can not act), and any joke related to any kind of nerd culture or technology is so transparent and not at all humorous, but the canned laughter convinces the audience (my parents included) that it is.
"Bazinga" is said most often in its premiere episode, and the way it's used is essentially, "This is how you know what I said was a joke. Now you can laugh." The way it's tastelessly forced in compared to how incredibly popular it is in the merch and the culture surrounding the show is a joke in itself since it wasn't at all a good point in the show. It was, however, very memorable, in the same way some companies make intentionally bad commercials that will get stuck in your head.
Wow, the blind internet hate in this thread is astonishing, but not like I haven't seen it before. Just..not even giving it a chance because a few joke videos go all bazinger. I have been watching the last few seasons, up to the newest one and I can't even recall anytime in the last few seasons at all that Sheldon said bazinga..ever. While yes like everyone that owns a BBT shirt ever stupidly has bazinga written on it, it's probably the least said thing in the show ever. It's actually a really amusing show, but I know no one is going to listen and I'm going to be flooded with boxes.
I don't dislike it because it's not funny, it's the dumb half arsed references to any video game or comic things.
Not worth it.
I'd love to get paid 1 million dollars to say Bazinga a bunch of times on a shit tv show.
Oh and don't forget the Pavlov reference whenever a spouse is involved.

Exactly, especially when FP hates on BBT while laugh their shit off at Garry's jokes.
Does anyone else think Nickelback sucks?
I actually don't have a problem with this. Galecki's no rookie. He's been a sitcom staple since Roseanne. The man's paid his dues. . .let him finally reap some rewards.
Friends was actually good
As it's one of the most highly rated shows right now, you can assume loads of people think that BBT is actually good.
Friends was actually good
As if how subjectively "good" a show is determines pay. It's all about viewer numbers.
The show makes a lot of money so they deserve it, doesn't matter if you like it or not.
I like this show.
Gotta love these hate fueled internet circle jerks about things other people like. Haha bazingo :v:. In all seriousness there really isn't anything that upsetting about these actors getting paid. Big Bang Theory is I think the #1 most watched sitcom on TV at the moment, and you can bet that CBS is raking in cash hand over fist, yet no one seems to be upset about that. I'm pretty sure the actors, who yanno - make the show popular, deserve to get whatever they can wring out of CBS.

The Theorists
Through the use of his vanity cards at the end of episodes, Lorre alleged that the program had been plagiarized by a show produced and aired in Belarus. Officially titled Теоретики (The Theorists), the show features "clones" of the main characters, a similar opening sequence, and what appears to be a very close Russian translation of the scripts.[186] Lorre expressed annoyance and described his inquiry with the Warner Brothers legal department about options. The television production company and station's close relationship with the Belarus government was cited as the reason that any attempt to claim copyright infringement would be in vain because the company copying the episodes is operated by the government.[187]
However, no legal action was required to end production of the other show: as soon as the word got out that the show was unlicensed, the actors quit and the producers cancelled it.[188] Dmitriy Tankovich (who plays Leonard's counterpart, "Seva") said in an interview: "I'm upset. At first, the actors were told all legal issues were resolved. We didn't know it wasn't the case, so when the creators of The Big Bang Theory started talking about the show, I was embarrassed. I can't understand why our people first do, and then think. I consider this to be the rock bottom of my career. And I don't want to take part in a stolen show"
I'd want more money per episode too if I knew someone was just gonna steal it right away tbh
How about a decent and even split for the many, many filming crew, assistants, designers, writers, cinematographers, etc, etc, that work just as many long and difficult hours getting it to production standard
That's like saying Lebron James should get paid the same as the bench players, coaches, filming crew, etc. It just doesn't work that way.
I'd want more money per episode too if I knew someone was just gonna steal it right away tbh
I want to watch Russian clone BBT. Bazingski.
I'm reminded of how Mission Hill had that exact budget per episode.
After reading things like this, I feel sorry for cops, EMTs, and firefighters considering the money they make and the work they do compared to the actors or professional athletes.
And teachers. We would be nothing without teachers. It's probably one of the most important jobs on the planet.
Friends was actually good
Not to mention that the actors were actually good too.
I want to watch Russian clone BBT. Bazingski.
An Italian clone would be better, Bazangio.
Not to mention that the actors were actually good too.
Without laugh track they're kind of scary

Actually it's just Ross that's scary
This is stupid
But I wouldn't turn down the offer, and neither would you
Friends was good, I laughed at it but, I see the Big Bang Theory (even though I don't understand why it is called like that when it isn't related to the show whatsoever) and didn't laugh any second, not even a scene or a "memorable" moment.
off-topic why is it called the bing bang theory they never talk about the big bang or the universe just comic's and shit and few sciences related stuff.
off-topic why is it called the bing bang theory they never talk about the big bang or the universe just comic's and shit and few sciences related stuff.
Cause big bang = science = show is about science(not, just geeks/nerds) = lets make it sound smart

I agree, they should change the title to "a group of nerds talk about nerd stuff except for one character who isn't a nerd"
Should also rename Always Sunny to "despicable dumb asses fuck up everything and act terrible" while we're at it.
