I personally loved the old one, This is the exact reason why I'm not restarting steam so I can treasure the last moments ;_;
:sympathy:
Here you go guys

That with the Noir Gear skin, is amazing.
The new skin is awesome, shut up haters, you just have to get used to it, after that, it will be awesome.
Is support for the old one being removed? I want a dirt cheap resource steam :(
That's half the reason for the new GUI.
The old one was riddled with bugs and bloats.
The steam forums are filled with such delicious rage. I like the new steam more than the old one. Looks much better (Screw you gradient haters), the new groups for the games is awesome for organization too. Oh and the new store is great.
Categories got murdered when they removed the ability to put more than 2 on a game :frown: I remember when the beta was first out and I made awesome categories and then BAM one day I couldn't anymore :crying:
Still an awesome update though
ITT: Change is bad, BAWWWWWW.
It's actually smoother and less ressource hogging.
new and shiny != more ressource intensive
but some people in this thread don't get it.
To be honest what I miss the most is the absence of a tools category in the mini game list. Source sdk doesn't even show up in favourites on that (even if favs list two items, only a game is displayed :()
I just got the pop-up to restart steam for the April 15th update:
Steam Client

Fixed issue preventing Madballs from properly running
:sigh:
quick extra
found a way to add tools to the mini game list as well
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6252145/sourcesdk.exe
just compile a batch script like
start steam://rungameid/211
- just grab that form the desktop shurtcut.
Those can then be added to steam as nonsteam games
compiled for sourcesdk

Wow...Valve is getting better.
I don't understand why it's so hard for people to accept change, even when it's better..
i can't understand how people (not you) has to make it a big deal when people can't/won'd/Prefer not to get used to new things. sitting and cracking wise and slinging profanities and belittling those who don't adjust is low, droneminded and really unlikeable. stop poking people and mind your own noses guys.
dude with Luigi avatar, i'm more than pointing at you.
This new UI Steam need some improvements yet (icons for mods, the game list window to be retracted, ...) but at least it's better than the old layout.
ITT: Forced change is bad, BAWWWWWW.
Fixed.
Wow, so upon starting Steam today I only have 20 or so of the 50 games I have actually purchased.
Wow, so upon starting Steam today I only have 20 or so of the 50 games I have actually purchased.
Seriously?
Wow, didn't know the new UI was this bad. Too bad i can't have the old one back. :saddowns:
Is it just me or is Steam friends constantly losing connection today?
the sounds suck dick compared to the old ones
