New Pharaoh expansion
Anyone remember the first Empire Earth? I think that was Sierra's best, I played that game so hard that I started to hallucinate the sounds in real life. [editline]8th August 2014[/editline] Looks like I'm not alone! I could do without fucking building caps. I hated those.
The building caps were such bullshit. I found a mod that totally took them out of EE1. It felt way better... for a little while... then you realize that all of the AIs have been able to knock out ridiculously big armies that are 10 times the size of yours and you realize that's probably why the caps are there in the first place. Still, I was disappointed I couldn't find that mod for EE2. Both really good games, but they ended up being really quite different. EE1 was better, though, no doubt. Fuck it I think I'm gonna play Empire Earth now.
Anyone remember the first Empire Earth? I think that was Sierra's best, I played that game so hard that I started to hallucinate the sounds in real life.
I remember that I had to hide in a truck loaded with potatoes. Good times.
That is obviously Gordon Freeman searching for the Borealis in the Sierra mountains. Half Life 3 confirmed.
Maybe they can release a sequel to their all time classic... [img_thumb]http://www.sierragamers.com/uploads/24082/The_Games/Urban_Runner_CD_Tray_Liner_01.jpg[/img_thumb]
they'll probably have loads of different developers and everything will be different
swat 5 or no deal
I can't remember precisely, but doesn't Sierra have the rights to No One Lives Forever in some way? I remember it was one of those annoying situations with regards as to who had the rights to the franchise.
God I would give my legs for Relic and Sierra to make another Homeworld.
Mentioned on last page but not a reply to your post: Gearbox owns Homeworld now and is doing Remastered. They're also publishing Homeworld: Shipbreakers, a totally super brand new Homeworld game by a bunch of the original developers.
So, what I'm seeing from this is Activision decided to bring the Sierra name back since so many people hate them lately
So, what I'm seeing from this is Activision decided to bring the Sierra name back since so many people hate them lately
people don't really hate on activision nowadays, since what activision do isn't as bad as EA or Ubisoft by miles.
So, John Williams (An ex-Sierra On-Line employee, not the composer) has said there is "good news ahead" and that we'll see "some good things". I'm kinda hyped. I love their adventure games, even if they are kinda brutal. I recall Activision saying they wanted to use the King's Quest license themselves after someone approached them for it. I don't know if this is correct, but I believe Activision claimed they wanted to do their own remakes of the King's Quest games.
The OP was really vague and explained nothing. I assumed Sierra was a a new IP or something. Could've included a few articles or something instead of assuming every single person knows exactly what this means. http://www.polygon.com/2014/8/8/5981675/activision-sierra-entertainment-gamescom http://www.shacknews.com/article/85680/sierra-entertainment-set-to-return-with-new-game-at-gamescom-2014
Because it's so difficult to google Sierra. Why is it the OP's job to teach you things you don't know. It's literally the first thing that comes up when you google it.
Homeworld plz
Sierra has no more brand recognition and no purpose to its existence, this is the stupidest relaunch ever.
Homeworld plz
That's up to Gearbox now.
Sierra has no more brand recognition and no purpose to its existence, this is the stupidest relaunch ever.
I think that most of the posts in this thread should be enough to prove to you that Sierra has plenty of brand value.
I think that most of the posts in this thread should be enough to prove to you that Sierra has plenty of brand value.
sure it might be a bunch of people reminiscing but that's a big market
Time for ...uh ...Outpost 3?
I think that most of the posts in this thread should be enough to prove to you that Sierra has plenty of brand value.
Because this forum encompasses the entire world population.
Because this forum encompasses the entire world population.
No, but it shows more people know the brand than don't.
Please please please.
bring on Sierra Home Designer.
We need another Empire Earth.. With the quality of the first, the content of the second, and the exact opposite of the 3rd.
I doubt we'll get the quality of the first since Stainless Steel shut down. If however they try and revive EE, I hope they make a sequel, however unlikely, to Empires: Dawn of the Modern World, a sort of spinoff of EE and what I consider one of the best RTS of all time.
Half-Life 3 published by Sierra???????? Just like back in the days. :v:
Does Sierra even still own any of these IPs
Possible sequel?
A brother in (metal) arms! One of the best games I played, and the damage system was amazing. You could blast off every limb of a robot and he'd still be going in whatever retarded manner he could manage. Or when you'd blast off an arm but it was still attached by some wiring and you could still fire the gun in that arm but you had to flail your body around to aim. Some of the best multiplayer moments with Glitch in the System, I hope it one day is resurrected, I honestly thought this game was going to be Xbox's Ratchet and Clank franchise.
Half-Life 3 published by Sierra???????? Just like back in the days. :v:
EA is Valve's retail publisher tho.
