Possible sequel?
Oh my god yes.
Developed by Monolith (behind FEAR and Condemned) so unless Nu-Sierra teams up with them, it's not likely to happen.
If Sierra have the rights is there any legal reason why it couldn't be made with another developer? Or does Monolith still own some part of the franchise?
That being said I would prefer a third installment made by the original developers, but then again Monolith hasn't had the greatest track record for a while - hopefully their upcoming game which looks pretty decent changes that. :)
I wish to see another Empire Earth just not so god damn awful like the Empire Earth 3.
Actually I'm pretty sure Pandemic (The guys behind Silent Hill 1 and 2) made SWAT 4.
Actually, I'm pretty sure Pandemic never made Silent Hill nor SWAT 4.
Where the hell do you get your information from?
World in Conflict 2 please
Its like Wargame, but better
But doesn't Ubisoft owns World in Conflict and its developer?
announcing..
HD REMAKES ON STEAM!(although I'd buy some of them if decently priced like empire earth).
but i dohope that they got some old developers back
Wasn't Half-Life 2 also published by Sierra? At least for a while
Halflife 3 confirmed.
Guys you don't need to dogpile on me, some guy already explained to me that it was irrational, read the first post on this page.
I know it's wrong to feel this way.
But the hope for another World In Conflict type game is making me feel some kinda way. I saw that mountian and immediately got that wonderful feeling of nostalgia deep in the pit of my stomach from wrecking commies so many years ago. A man can dream ;-;
Massive was bought up by Ubisoft.
Its not happening unless a mod team gets together and just does it.
New SWAT plz

WiC is one of those games in ownership hell, it was bought up by Ubisoft alongside Massive, but they haven't done anything with the IP to the point where if someone started making a game, that'd be the only way to get their attention.
They don't care for the game, most of the Massive team that worked on WiC have since left Massive.

World in Conflict was a really sad story because it won a ton of awards, it sold really really REALLY God Damn well. Its a cult classic with a huge fan following even to this day, but the market for RTS games, especially the Arcade kind that WiC was is so god damn dead.
Not to mention the fact it can't go multiplatform so immediately most major developers won't even touch, nor put money into it. And that sucks because WiCs model not only meant that most units were moving together during combat, but it also made it really easy to pick the type. The gameplay was extremely simple with the complexity coming from how the units interact against each other and points on the map, it could've easily been translated over to consoles.

The studio that made World in Conflict is making Tom Clancy's: The Division. They have only helped make games since then apart from The Divison.
Gib world in conflict 2 please
new Kings Quest damn it!

Yes, Half-Life 2 was published by Sierra, they didn't go out of business until 2008.
I feel as if Sierra's been gone forever, but it's only been 6 years and that isn't too long of a time.
I thought I was the only person who played this, and I would be so down for a sequel.
I have it downloaded on my xbox 360. Played through it again last month. Thinking about speedrunning it.
I REALLY hope they make a sequel

“Sierra’s goal is to find and work with gifted up-and-coming indie developers working on their own amazing projects or who are passionate about working on great Sierra IP,” Sierra director of external development said. “We’re in talks with a large number of other indie devs, and we can’t wait to share more details with fans in the near future.”

If only Hi-Rez didn't still own the rights to the Starsiege universe after they fucked up Tribes Ascend.
On another note, anybody know how to get Earthsiege 2 running on W7?
