Works for me on W7 64bit as well.
Grah, I can only download about 300MB at a time before it "fails to decompress" and I hit okay, repair, and pick up where I left off... only downloaded 2GB overnight only since I wasn't awake to babysit it to do this... Oh well, should still be done before the beta begins so long as I keep watching it.

I opened the game but it's laggy as fuck and they won't let you change the video options from that first menu. I hope you're able to change them eventually.

How did you manage to open the game if the servers aren't up? You can get to the menu, but how the hell can a menu be laggy? And you can change the settings in the first menu, press Escape and select "video options". It's actually the only thing you can change without getting in the game.
