Assault is assault is assault, and whether or not the person forcefully boarding your ship is shooting at you or coming at you with a chair, especially when sailing in that region, you defend yourself by any means possible.
Shooting at someone with a gun isn't exactly proportionate to clubbing someone with a chair.
I love how much conflict has been going on lately
You can die from both. The real question is why they needed to board the ship anyway, besides just feeling butthurt that aid was going to gaza.
They didn't (feel butthurt, that is). all the other ships went to ashdod port where the goods were inspected and taken to gaza by land, all of them. Israelis just wanted to inspect the marmara, and the fact they resisted made them suspicious. This is how this whole thing started. [editline]01:44PM[/editline]
Shooting at someone with a gun isn't exactly proportionate to clubbing someone with a chair.
15 people clubbing one guy with chairs and metal poles (soldiers carried paintball guns and pistols) really hurts though.
Sources to prove this is true? [editline]12:45AM[/editline] Eh someone's just going to link the IDF site again.
Well there goes the middle east. It's my belief that if Israel goes to war with any of its neighbors, there will be all out war between them all. lolwe'refucked
That still doesn't change the fact that they were attack because they supposedly fired at the IDF, when all they had was household items. Next time, read.
I did read. And what you do think Israel was going to do with a ship headed towards Gaza with relief aid? If you answered "burn it down," or "steal it and claim it's going to Al Qaeda," you are probably close.
Sources to prove this is true? [editline]12:45AM[/editline] Eh someone's just going to link the IDF site again.
To prove my point? Ill try to find a non israeli source. I have seen it myself though, if that helps...
Shooting at someone with a gun isn't exactly proportionate to clubbing someone with a chair.
Sure is when getting clubbed with a chair could result in you being locked in some secret prison dungeon for the rest of your life (approximately around the time you starve to death).
15 people clubbing one guy with chairs and metal poles (soldiers carried paintball guns and pistols) really hurts though.
So what exactly stopped them from using the Paintball guns to subdue people instead of taking out their sidearms and killing people?.
So what exactly stopped them from using the Paintball guns to subdue people instead of taking out their sidearms and killing people?.
Nothing, they did use them. The command to use live fire was only issued about 1:30-2:00 minutes in, after the paintball guns failed.
