This is ridiculous and stupid. It's not anywhere near deadly, why the fuck license it? I own a fully automatic paintball gun, which is apparently banned in Australia, guess it's good I don't live there, and that my government isn't completely comprised of shitheads banning things wantonly. This is the main reason I don't like Labor governments, they always seem to want to needlessly ban shit.
Don't talk about what you don't know.
You don't need a License to play Paintball. Only to own the guns. (Not too sure about, but I definitely know you don't need one to play). You will need a Firearms Permit to own Airsoft/BB guns. Some asshole just had to use an Airsoft gun to threaten people and ruin it for all of Australia.
:downsbravo: Queensland legistrates show their maturity and intelligence yet again.
Australia banning things? I'm not even sure if this is newsworthy anymore, happens like every two days.
In New Jersey Airsoft guns are illegal too, You need a real pistol license to have a air soft pistol. It's been like this for a while. Welcome to the club Australia.
Uh no, EVERYTHING that looks like a gun will be banned Airsoft has been illegal for ages
Wait, we're allowed to have airsoft in aus now?
So this is illegal now without a license?
Why do politicians always have to target the most unrelated cause of things and then demonize it?
Because that would take time and effort.
Don't talk about what you don't know.
So you're saying the Australian government doesn't go around banning things wantonly? Sir, I must disagree.

Airsoft guns are illegal? Thank god i live in finland so there are no any stupid licenses needed for airsoft guns.
For the last time, Airsoft guns are NOT illegal. You are just required to have a firearms permit. Of course with my permit, I bought a real one instead.
By toy guns they probably mean things like this That's an Airsoft gun
Doesn't that require a permit?
What about paintball guns?
Threat to us all
Even guns made out of materials as unlikely as soap or plastic may have to be kept under lock and key if they could "reasonably be taken to be a weapon".
Why do you people vote for these loons to take up government? Australia is being screwed by these wackos, it's also damaging their international credibility.
Why do you people vote for these loons to take up government?
Because the majority probably agree with them :frown:
Only in Australia. Also is Tasmania still light on their gun control?
This is one of the decreasingly few reasons I like America, Anyone can have any toy firearm, such as Airsoft, and it's not even illegal to remove the orange tips. Although they must have the orange tips to ship them Wooden body with metal parts, actual Shell Casings the 6mm BBs go in with StripClips, and 560Feet per second velocity... No permit needed Although I'm not paying $500 for a damn toy, You could probably even fit an actual 98k Bayonet on there
Although I'm not paying $500 for a damn toy,
I know what You mean, I've been trying to get into Airsoft, but the guns are so damn expensive.
and it's not even illegal to remove the orange tips.
Yes it is...
Why do you people vote for these loons to take up government? Australia is being screwed by these wackos, it's also damaging their international credibility.
The job attracts a certain kind of person, so we only ever have the choice to elect Loon A, or Loon B.
Only in Australia. Also is Tasmania still light on their gun control?
I would be surprised if that were still true since the Port Arthur massacre.
Yes it is...
Not in the United States, The Orange tips are required for sellers and for shipping, and is the only purpose of them. California may be the only exception to this rule You don't see BB Guns with orange tips (Well, some do, but most Don't) They're no more real of a firearm than a decent Airsoft [editline]04:16AM[/editline]
I know what You mean, I've been trying to get into Airsoft, but the guns are so damn expensive.
If you're heavily into Airsoft I don't see a problem with it, but I'm not, while I'd like to have that nice 98k Airsoft Rifle, I would rarely shoot it and wouldn't do any Airsoft battles with it. So I'd just go and buy a real 98k, and you can get them easily under $500
Airsoft guns I completely understand, but if they are going to ban things like, those guns you used to play cowboys with? that might be a bit extreme.
Australia sucks, so whatever
Sucks is banned in the Australia.
