Even if you can't identify why calling someone fat is offensive for whatever reason, a logical person must understand that working in a primarily customer service position and calling your customers fat, in a restaurant no less, is just incredibly stupid.

It's like he doesn't take his job seriously or something, just fire him and hire a better employee. That's all the manager has to do- not just for the ladies but for all future customers.

Rather unprofessional for the waiter, but the customers are kind of overreacting. It'd be like me getting offended for being called "Loud Angry Scotsman," on my receipt at Wally-World.

Why would the waiter do this? Did he wake up and decide "Man, I sure don't want to receive any tips today!"
