Generally guys don't tend to give a fuck though. Women do.
Speak for yourself. I was pretty fat for a while, found I couldn't stand it, and started to eat healthier and worked out. Now I'm at a normal weight, and the only thing I do to maintain it is eat in normal portions and work out for an hour 3 days a week. It's not that hard, unless you work really long hours or have some sort of birth condition. If you want something bad enough, chances are you can make it happen.
I wish people would stop getting offended by getting called fat. Its one of the easiest way to identify a person,I don't want to resort to another word or another way to describe that particular person.

Would you want to be called "ugly" on a receipt from a restaurant? Would you want new people to simply identify you as that one ugly guy?
If I got a receipt and it and it said 'nerdy lonely guy' and they offered me 50% off, I'd be pretty good with that.
way to go jeff!!!
I mean look no further than how Bobby Kotick and Jennifer Hepler are treated by gaming communities. Bobby Kotick gets flak for his terrible management of Activision while Jennifer Hepler for her awful writing.
That's a terrible comparison, they don't even occupy the same field. You'd be better off comparing Hepler to somebody like John Romero, one of the most maligned figures of gaming for a number of years. And hell, complaints at him ran the whole gamut; from "your writing is literally right out of fanfiction" to jokes about how he'll "make you his bitch" and that you should "suck it down" (it makes slightly more sense in context), to just straight up saying he has the haircut of a douchebag.

If anything gamers have hated Kotick more since he has a lot more control over the way things are in the games under Activision than Hepler has for the games she's been a part of.
They are fucking fat what is the big deal. They got upset because they know they are fat and this reminded them of how they look to the outside world.
They are fucking fat what is the big deal. They got upset because they know they are fat and this reminded them of how they look to the outside world.
"its not wrong to insult someone because i say so lol ^^;"
the chicks are def. overreacting. the dude who put it on the receipt got suspended, and the manager offered 50% off for their meal. why keep crying about it? oh right, because attention, drama, pity & probably wanting 100% off
Clearly Dori is a fat chick
no, dori is a successful japanese song writer from japan:
"I still can't believe it," Huerta said. "I still can't get that out of my mind, what happened to us. I still can't believe that somebody would put that on a receipt."

"This is something that we got to live with, all three of us."
oh wow some rude waiter called you fat on a receipt that no one else could see, and this is something you have to live down? give me a fucking break
I feel them
So I work in that industry...and I use this method to name people all the damn time, so do the girls I work with. It's not the people in this news story, it is the whole world. The fat people should really be mad at the race they belong to. It's not actually this huge deal...a lot of times, you only have a few seconds to jot down something that distinguishes their bill from anyone else apart from table or check number. Blue hat, teeth guy, fat chicks...it all works.

Blue hat, teeth guy, fat chicks...it all works.
I agree with this, if you disagree then you probably watch fox news and post comments on Yahoos news site. If you for some ungodly reason, refer to people with very specific, small little details that no one would fucking see, then whoa - good for you! If you tell me to look for the guy that's 62 inches, I'll tell you to go fuck yourself.
But you don't have to live with it. In fact, you shouldn't. Instead of making a national shitstorm, put down the chicken and exercise.
rofl you seriously believe they are doing everything in their power to be fat or something? Obesity is primarily caused by lack of exercise, not eating btw. [editline]9th December 2012[/editline]
I really don't understand how weight is such a sensitive issue for women.
because in our biased culture women's' entire value is judged mostly by their attractiveness
they're so overdramatic. It's just something we have to live with no it's not. if it bothered you that much than do something about it. its true that for some people its hard to lose weight once they gain it but its not impossible to push yourself to do it. don't act like "it's just something you have to live with" it's something you choose to live with. now whoever put the fat chicks thing on there, it wasn't right to do that. but they're acting like its some tragedy.
I wonder if they'd have reacted the same if it said 'Skinny girls'? You know, the complete polar opposite to what they are. Do you think they'd have cared as much? Would they have taken the same amount of offence to sarcasm?
probably. they probably would have thought the person thought they were anorexic or something similarly if it was "hot girls" they would have thought the person was hitting on them (also unprofessional) really though I don't know why restaurants do this... it seems to open the door for people to get massively offended.
rofl you seriously believe they are doing everything in their power to be fat or something? Obesity is primarily caused by lack of exercise, not eating btw.
That's what he said. Get a better diet and exercise.
the constant use of "like" has me confused
Damn that's a bit mean as other people said before. And while some people really are fat because they can't stop eating, there's a fair number of people who don't choose to be fat simply because of their illnessess and you can't fix that by running yourself to death on a treadmill. Even if you're fat because you eat like holy shit, nobody should call you mean because of this.
So, I don't know you or anything about you, but lets say in real life you're ugly by most standards. Would you want to be called "ugly" on a receipt from a restaurant? A fat guy could still look good while an ugly guy is well....ugly Also describing people with the word "ugly"is terrible. How is he ugly?Does he have weird eyes?big teeth?
Ill be honest..I wasnt even gonna laugh. I was gonna percieve this in a totally proffessional manner. I was going to for ONCE be an understanding and compassionate person towards fat people. Then I saw this: "Christina Huerta Offended at restaurant" And then I realized, A FUCKING BREAKING NEWS REPORT JUST HAD TO BE MADE....because a lady....got offended...by a man...simply telling it like it is at a restaurant. And so now, here I am laughing. I'm laughing at how fat and retarded and mexican sounding those ladies are. I'm laughing at the fact that the entire news report, the way they word the incident makes it sound like their entire family was in a school bus that drove off a cliff and burst into flames. You dumb, fat cunts. You're fucking crying....over words....on a fucking piece of paper.....please give me your facebook info so I can troll you endlessly for the next 3 years. "it was all lyke..just lyke horrible and stuff..an lyke..it can lyke never be undone" Guess what fatfuck. It CAN be undone. Just like these hateful words that I'm typing can be undone. BY SIMPLY. FUCKING. IGNORING IT. The fact that these ladies are so easily offended makes them deserving of all the ridicule and fat people trolling in the world. And with that, I just want to say this: I guarantee you all three of these women are fucking retarded enough to spend their hard earned money...on a Nissan Juke. In fact I would BET money, that if all 3 of them dont drive a nissan juke..they at least drive matching Nissan Cubes.
Maybe not quite as bad as women, but in America almost every man in the media is ripped.
Women don't usually go for the Schwarzenegger dudes. That's a male-perpetuated image, a power fantasy. There's no expectation that you have to be ripped to be attractive, just look at all the androgynous teenage idols that are in the media today. It's not the same with women at all, there is definitely pressure there that every girl has to be pretty to be attractive.

Please. Women like these guys because they're youthful, cater to women interests, and have nice bodies. Not ripped, but not scrawny, and not fat. They're beauty ideals just as much as swimsuit models are ideals for women. If you're a guy, you should not be fat, not be ugly, not scrawny, not have quirky interests, have a fashion sense, be outgoing and party a lot, like music, have great hair, be athletic, have masculine interests, like music, and not be a virgin.
stuff
what the hell are you even going on about besides acting strictly sardonic

I'm just saying, you can't equate how men are depicted in the media versus women. There's a much higher standard for women and it's purely physical.
what's wrong with being fat? If anything, more insulation is good this time of year.
You really think some people aren't trying? We live on a society that shames women if they're not reaching unhealthy levels of thinness. "Be skinny, but make sure you're fat in the butt and boobs, because otherwise you're unwomanly! Similarly, even if you have boobs and a butt, but aren't teeny tiny in the thighs, arms, and waist, you're too fat, and therefore unwomanly!" You'll always be "too" something, "not __ enough," and never good enough. The female ideal, in our culture, is impossible. It is photoshopped, made-up, unobtainable, skinny but fat in all the right places, corseted, backlit, dyed, plastic, bleached, and waxed past the point of any "real" womanhood. No one can ever meet the ideal: even the models who pose for it are airbrushed and mutilated under a cursor in photoshop, or are put under the knife to be made "more like" their own photoshopped images. It's absurd, unhealthy, and damaging for everyone involved. Maybe because currently society is hammering women daily constantly with messages of "you have to be thinner than a bean pole" Some people don't get fat because they eat too much. One of my friends had to go on anti depressants, she gained 10 kilos in 2 weeks while keeping the same alimentation. She effectively had to choose between being "fat" by the society/media standards or being completely broken psychologically There's nothing wrong with being "fat", it starts being dangerous for anyone with obesity for sure, but I don't think the women who got called "fat chicks" are obese
what the hell am i reading people are fat because they maintain caloric surpluses, it's really that simple and attractive body composition happens in the gym
I'm like, and she like, and they were like that like and those like and I was like, like like like and she like like.
