But it will be better than what we have now. The drug war hasn't fixed anything, hasn't done it's job. It's made a harmless drug illegal, it's caused a lot of lives to be ruined, it has only seen drug use accelerate and increase the longer and harder and tougher it gets. How about the tax money being extorted from you to keep people prisoner, not just through drug raids on the black market but also casual users? The black market [b]will not exist anymore[/b] once drugs are legalized, and they will be, by the way. It is a system that can not perpetuate itself indefinitely. The country as a whole will save not millions, not billions but [b]TRILLIONS[/b] of dollars eliminating the drug war. To my next point, you are a hypocrite. There is plenty of rights you enjoy that others don't and if the majority was as blind as you, you would have lost them all by now. Now for my sarcastic commentary. War on Drugs is deluded because arresting suppliers does not effect demand. Arrest a dealer, supply becomes more rare, prices go up and so more people are incentivised to deal. If you really wanted to stop drugs you'd put a life sentence on marijuana consumption. But that's a bit inefficient
