It's because india's train system is a ton of shit.
Aw, probably just like cow who doesn't want to move
OH shit
That picture can't be the aftermath.
I mean, how would the train keep going afterwards? I would think that it'd be derailed or something after hitting SEVEN fucking elephants.
I heard of trained elephants, but this is ridiculous
A disaster of elephantine proportions
How can they possibly expect this to have been prevented. Trains move really fucking fast with a lot of mass, and take a loooooong time to brake due to their momentum. There's nothing that could have been done

Wildlife activists say there are two methods to prevent it - prevent a situation like this from arising. Their options:
1. Divert trains to other routes
2. Avoid running the trains at night

:golfclap:
Must have been a pretty massive train to kill seven elephants.

Make people late just because you could hit a few retarded animals?
Frankly if the elephants didn't move even after the train blared it's horn, then they probably had it coming.
I though elephants were pretty smart but the fact that they couldn't understand the correlation between a Monstrously large object moving quickly towards them, and the chance of their immanent death is pretty astounding. Many animals have the sense to get the fuck out of it's way. Maybe they are just not used to seeing creatures larger than them.

Scores of wild bison, deer, boars and leopards have died in the same forest after being hit by trains, Basu said.
Dozens of elephants have died in India in recent years after being struck while crossing railway tracks that often run through national parks and forests.
Clearly not...
Can't they just put some giant walls that separates the forest from the tracks? Lol...
Even the elephant gets in trouble.
September 24th will be a day elephants never forget.
Because elephants never forget anything.
Oh wow... India and their train accidents again...

Well played, sir :golfclap:
animals are having the worst of luck these days...

no i am not with peta. but i dont think that animals should be hurt or killed for no cause. if its for food, thats a cause. i wouldnt kill a cat just for the fun of it.

You didn't have to explain that.
I like elephants. :(

Are you with PETA?
Finally people can lay off St Thomas for killing a Mother Elephant like 30 years ago.
Sorry it was a lot longer than that.

Why did I read the Italics in James Bond's Voice?

Best pun of 2010
MEANWHILE IN INDIA....
I can see it now.
If even 7 elephants can't stop a train...what can?
A couch.
Even if they did see them, they wouldn't be able to stop in time. Look at videos on Youtube of trains using their emergency brakes, you'll find that trains take a long time to stop even at max braking power. Air brakes also take a long time to recharge after using them, which would be an added delay.
Aww, poor elephants. :frown:
trains need parachutes and rocket engines facing forward incase of a emergency stop
Wildlife say there are two methods to prevent it - prevent a situation like this from arising. Their options:

I have a better idea
3. Fuck the elephants, who needs them anyway? Keep the trains running, add death spikes.
trains need parachutes and rocket engines facing forward incase of a emergency stop
And then because of the sudden stop of the engine due to the rockets, the rest of the train, which was not initially affected by the rocket propulsion, would continue forward.
See where this leads?
Why do I keep laughing at animals getting hit by trains?
I'm a monster.
