Well Minecraft is fun, but well...let's face it, polling science ain't so much
It's pretty simple to be honest, it doesn't have to be fun if it's simple.
Fact: The majority of Americans hate either party and always vote for what they think is the lesser of two evils during the given point in time. No one is ever fucking right, get over it.
Majority of American citizens are "fickle", they do not properly research issues and make their decision based on their situation. If the Republicans can't make the economy look much better in 2 years, guess who we will be seeing again? Americans are responsive to symptoms of the economy, but very little responsive to the diagnosis of it. There is no magical fix to the economy, it will simply take time. Until then, we will see this country flip flop between the left and right because most will be pissed at the party in power while the economy is bad.
Of course they will fucking disappoint they are the Republican party. Their existence is a disappointment.
Don't forget that the Democrats used the same dirty stonewalling tricks back in the 80s and 90s that the Republicans used against Obama this past year and a half. Fun Fact: Abe Lincoln created the Republican party. Isn't it shocking how different Republicans were back then compared to how they are now? Add rich corps who influenced them and that is why.
I'll reiterate this even though I've argued this in another thread. Show me that this poll was conducted across many states and districts. I simply doubt that this is a representation of the majority opinion of the United States. And I do not believe until proven otherwise that this poll is very accurate.
All Rasmussen Reports' survey questions are digitally recorded and fed to a calling program that determines question order, branching options, and other factors. Calls are placed to randomly-selected phone numbers through a process that insures appropriate geographic representation. Typically, calls are placed from 5 pm to 9 pm local time during the week. Saturday calls are made from 11 am to 6 pm local time and Sunday calls from 1 pm to 9 pm local time.
How many people do you know that would actually sit through one of these?
Like the republicans are gonna get anything done. It's just gonna be a stale on each ballot where each parties interests conflict.

I didn't vote because I knew I'd be disappointed either way.
why vote for something they think will fail
Or you just plain don't understand polling science. [editline]4th November 2010[/editline] Isn't it hypocritical to be on one side then?
lol favoring a party during an election =/= welcoming a party with open arms like a died in the wool party supporter
the government will disappoint anyways... doesnt really matter who you put in charge
It does matter who you put in charge. Less of two evils is an ok system. Now Republicans cannot blame everything on the Democrats, when shit goes wrong they have no control over. It will not take long before people see that they are mostly dickheads and America will go back to Democrats whenever your next election is.

Is there really any chance of the fucking system working after this?
How many people do you know that would actually sit through one of these?
They study the types of people most likely to take surveys and factor this into the results.
When the economy is good, the people are happy. When it's bad, they want to get the ruling party the fuck out of there, and replace them with the minority party (here being republicans). It's cyclical, and has been like that for a long time. That's what you get, American politics.
This poll makes perfect sense. That number doesn't have to match the inverse percentage of people who voted republican. It just has to be smaller than the percentage of people who were disappointed by the democrats.
This is why I think we should have a democratic-oligarchy. To be eligible to register as a voter, you must hold a high school GED, and pass a common knowledge test about the country, similar to the citizenship test we subject foreigners who are applying for citizenship. NO retests, no exceptions. This would insure that the people who vote have at least some common knowledge, and hopefully that can get our political system out of the gutter. cause to be honest, if we let the mass's rule, the mass's who hardly know anything about this country anymore, then fuck, we are fucked. also I know this idea goes against the constitution in a way, but face the facts, its a dynamic society, and a dynamic world, we shouldn't be glued to everything that was printed a few hundred years ago.
I'm not sure what this implies. Any theories?
People will always complain about who has power.

Every unpopular decision by Congress gets blamed on the president.
So they voted for them....but already think they are gonna fail? God dammit my country needs to get its head out of its ass
I'm not sure what this implies. Any theories?
We're doomed either way.

ITT: People not realizing that American Democracy has been reduced to voting AGAINST a party and not FOR one.
Republicans and democrats are retarded
This is why I think we should have a democratic-oligarchy. Polling is all about getting information from diverse sources
Republicans and democrats are retarded -People vote based on information they receive from the news -Privileged elite controls the news Your system is already in place, and it sucks.
theres a difference between privileged elite and has an understanding of the topics they are voting about.
Picking the lesser of two evils is not ok, it's shit.
It doesn't make sense to me because the democrats always seem less evil to me.
It doesn't make sense to me because the democrats always seem less evil to me.
Giant douche or turd sandwich. Take your pick.
Giant douche or turd sandwich. Take your pick.
which one is a social conservative?
which one is a social conservative?
The turd, duh
It doesn't make sense to me because the democrats always seem less evil to me.
Matter of opinion, i would say they each have their own diverse brand of evil to call their own.
