Clown showed up just down my street. Was wearing a Michael Myers esque jumpsuit and a pretty typical creepy clown mask. He just stood at the street corner for a while. I'm terrified of clowns so I went and did all four locks on my door.

Makes me even more nervous to take my kids around for Halloween. We really only take them to relatives/friends houses and our workplaces because they're so young, but seeing these stories about them literally being out in the road and rerouting cars and stuff is freaky as hell.

Someone I know who works at a school received a shooting threat, and a classmate of mine was apparently being stalked by somebody in a clown suit.
Connecticut here, a couple local schools went on lockdown because clowns were nearby.
Honestly I think it's dumb, but oh well.

These reports of "Killer Clowns" are sensationalist bullshit, they are very rare and broken occurrences of dolts reading about the same already-bullshit stories and going out and trying to recreate them themselves. It's just a twitter fueled phenomenon that people are taking too seriously.
Also it's Halloween, there are gonna be kids dressed up as zombie/killer clowns anyway, just take your kids out for Trick or Treating please.
