Then you're being thick. Agnosticism = Don't know. Atheism = the lack of an assertion. you're assuming that you HAVE to assert something. Atheism is simply not asserting anything. There's a difference between not knowing, and not asserting something.
So your personal beliefs dictate that you not have an opinion on whether or not there is a god? That isn't Atheism really. Atheist reject the idea of a god. You seem more based around "We don't need to worry about it, move on". Am I correct?

I've never seen an atheist say that they "REJECT" god as you put it. I've never seen anything like that, not believing is not rejecting, not asserting something is there is not the same as saying "We don't know". Asserting that it's unlikely there is a god, is another take of atheism, and it's full well and good to do that.

But everyone has their own individual belies.
I am taking the broad term. They reject the belief of a god as a whole. It doesn't work like that, it's simply not asserting there is something.

I don't want to fight over this, because it doesn't matter at all, but still.
double post, snip

No matter she what does, your gunna die in heaven. L o s t.
But you're saying that atheism is based on a belief. It's simply the lack of one.
Which is in itself a belief. You can't bend and twist definitions to fit what you want it to. It is not based on proof, and is thus, guess what, a belief.
you can't disprove something that isn't proven, or else you would believe in not believing
Which is in itself a belief. You can't bend and twist definitions to fit what you want it to. It is not based on proof, and is thus, guess what, a belief.
a lack of belief is it's own belief now? Not really. It would be a belief if it were contrary to anything at all, but currently, it's not contrary to anything.
a lack of belief is it's own belief now? Not really. It would be a belief if it were contrary to anything at all, but currently, it's not contrary to anything.
Yes it is. You can't just call it fact, can you? Maybe i'm drawing a False Dichotomy from this, i'm not really sure, but i don't really care that much so continue on please.
Yes it is. You can't just call it fact, can you? Where you're drawing things from, I don't know, but saying it's unlikely, or that there's no evidence for a lack of belief to be contrary to, is not wrong.
"If we are going to ban talking to students about God, then the atheists should also be banned from telling kids there is no God," said the Rev. Kirby Thurston.
Wait, I'm confused, when did this atheist teacher start telling people there is no god? it's my understanding that these other people just poured water on her and she was pissed, not running around ranting about there being no god.
Which is in itself a belief. You can't bend and twist definitions to fit what you want it to. It is not based on proof, and is thus, guess what, a belief.
The very idea that something doesn't exist necessitates the lack of proof for such an object. In what fucking universe could you possibly have anti proof of something? What the fuck are you talking about? [editline]03:07AM[/editline]
Yes it is. A fact is a fucking self evident observation. For example, the sky is blue. You cannot make a self evident observation of something that you don't believe exists. How could you possibly objectively rule out the possible existence of a being that's supposed to exist in an unreachable plane of existence? Fuck.
Scorpio, don't even try and use logic against him, it's clear he has no clue what he's talking about, since he started talking.
I just got done watching The Spirit, I'm really not in a mood to tolerate more nonsensical bullshit.
Don't watch that movie, it made less sense than... I think it might be the one thing that makes the least sense in the universe.

Kinda harsh, forcing her into that. It's just like your gay and go into the miltiary, just don't tell everyone that your gay.
you can't disprove something that isn't proven, or else you would believe in not believing
What I believe is that you can neither prove or disprove the existence of God. There is no test, no experiment. Evidence does not exist because it can not exist. To illustrate my point, for you, what would need to prove the existence of God?
To illustrate my point, for you, what would need to prove the existence of God?
i don't really know

To illustrate my point, for you, what would need to prove the existence of God?
You can't disprove somethings existence. Ever. That alone proves you can't say god doesn't exist somewhere. Whether god influenced/created our universe or even exists in OUR universe is up for debate.
"If we are going to ban talking to students about God, then the atheists should also be banned from telling kids there is no God," said the Rev. Kirby Thurston.
Too bad this story is about a teacher getting holy water dumped on them because they were an atheist. It has nothing to do with whether they were telling the students that god existed or not.

Lol, were they expecting her to melt or something? Intolerant AND retarded, nice.
This was just a joke I think. You people are looking into this too deep.
This was just a joke I think. You people are looking into this too deep.
not really it's called intolerance
