its ok nothing to fear the romanians can send all the gypsies to fight against the russians using their special gypsy magic and 3-legged mutant soldiers
Don't forget the 106th Vampire battalion. Also, we have mountain hunters.
this whole debacle reminds me of civ, when a helpless one like brasil gets stuck on the same continent as rome and is obliterated, my frigates could not move fast enough to save pedro. Let us not make the same mistake.

And black bears.
Like Russia has interests in Romania
The Russia gobbling up eastern Ukraine was always a very popular idea, looking at those "European war *insert year here*" videos on youtube
The only thing I've been wondering this entire time is how the fuck are the Russians swinging all of this financially?
Poorly.
Russians had the chance under the communist era to settle into Ukraine free of charge, they went there, and to Moldova, and now take a look what happened there and in Ukraine because of those Russians who still have their heads stuck in their ass with their so beloved Lenin and Stalin comrades from the Soviet Russia. Romania doing the right thing, preparing for the inevitable that will happen in the unforeseen future.

Wouldn't it make more sense if Slovakia got Zakarpattia instead of Hungary? I mean Czechoslovakia owned it before WW2 anyway.

I've been listening to this every single time a headline involving the east heating up has popped up. I think I've heard this song more times than any other person on the planet by now.

Hell Moldova is historic Romanian territory but got separated because of USSR.
Russia is budding up against Romainia, we've seen how completely ineffective NATO/US has been to this invasion. There is nothing to stop Russia from re-assimilating post soviet states.
oh
sorry i didnt realize we were talking about central asia not central europe
Wouldn't it make more sense if Slovakia got Zakarpattia instead of Hungary? I mean Czechoslovakia owned it before WW2 anyway.
But then before that it belonged to Hungary so ultimately it's just a matter of preference.

RIP Pedro :(
Nuclear weapons made actual declarations of war against nation-states obsolete.
Ukraine isn't a part of NATO, though, and why should it be the US' job to protect Ukraine? Like, I don't disagree with the fact that we need to tighten up on Russia, but it really isn't the business of the United States as such. Europe, sure.
Well actually, the US is bound by treaty to defend Ukraine in case of invasion. It was part of the agreement in which Ukraine gave up its nukes.
Don't worry America, if Russia ever wants to invade you, they'll have to attack us first.

Which means you'll be fighting famas wielding russians.

Since the thread is surprisingly still alive, I'll update it

That means they will discuss about getting some Patriot Missile systems in Romania, since our government asked for some.
Also the supposed plan for the modernization of our armed force is this:
Romania will take its defense spending to 2% of GDP, or about $ 4 B this year, and the coming ones.
The main acquisitions for the coming period will concern:
NAVY:
- fighting systems upgrade for 2 frigates
- additional helicopters serving the frigates
- making the submarine operational - in progress
- acquisition of new frigates and submarines - in medium term
AF:
- transporter programe has just been completed with the acquisition and delivery of 7 Spartans
- fighter programme: 3-4 fighter squadrons, of which 1 was ordered and will arrive starting 2015 (F16s from Portugal and US).
- missile shield - EUR 1 B SAM procurement - in progress
- modernisation and NATO compatibility of 2 airbases - in progress
Ground forces:
- acquisition of new assault rifle built in Romania - in progress
- acquisition of new transporter - in progress
- acquisition of new MBT - undisclosed development ? (this is where a potential cooperation with Germany or France could be applied or is already)
- acquisition of additional IFVs, with anti-aircraft and anti-tank capabilities - in progress
- acquisition of new multirole helicopters
- development of long-range guided MLRS system LAROM (150 km range) - in progress
The new rifle I mentioned several times is this:

A modernized AK that meets the NATO standards
And here's also some video of the army moving artillery/AA pieces towards our coast.

All I can add to the thread, for now.
I look like an idiot because I'm pointing out you make no sense? You're just spewing a bunch of paranoid American militaristic crap.
