Yes. You get usually over psychological issues eventually (At least to the point of being able to enjoy life. They're probably scarred, but at least they're not dead.)
I think the answer varies from person to person. Some people might be able to get over it, some might not. The answer isn't as set in stone as one would think.
I'd like to bet that a lot of rape victims would rather be dead than emotionally scarred. I mean, you're still alive but would you be able to actually enjoy life after an ordeal like that?
A rape victim can choose to take their own life if the emotional trauma is unbearable. A murder victim... well they don't really have any choice as to whether they continue with their lives or not

Sure it is. Check the number of rape victims; There are tons of them still alive. If life truly had no meaning after being raped (which is a silly thought), most of them would have killed themselves.
It's a bit like someone cutting off your leg. It's horrible and traumatizing at first, but the would eventually heals and you can get a prosthesis. Things can remind you about it and make you feel depressed/trigger memories, but 99% of the time it doesn't affect you anymore. It's horrible, but not necessarily life destroying.
