I don't understand why some people are taking this storm seriously. It'll barely even be a category one at landfall. Anyone who's ever grown up around the gulf would know that Isaac isn't shit, especially Louisianians and Mississippians. The worse we'll see is some heavy rainfall and a bunch of tree branches. Hell, the power might not even go out.

Most models still show it making landfall as a small category two, though you probably won't be able to tell the difference.
mississippi bruhs up in herr reppin northeast jackson here, we should be good.
Vicksburg reporting in. We really could use the rain, as we're not able to ship like, anything on the river. Glad it's not gonna be another katrina though... I went out in it and it was like the wrath of God. Imagine a tornado hits a sewing needle factory, and you're in the middle of it. That's pretty much how it felt. Sorta. Kinda. Well maybe not the tornado part, but the sewing needle part, yes. And neighbour's metal building got torn off its foundation and balled up and thrown, like a piece of paper. A tree that's from a couple centuries ago got the top knocked out of it, I was pretty bummed about that. I used to turn such a vibrant orange in the fall... Now it just turns brown :T But yeah, I know how bad it was here, I couldn't imagine being on the coast when that shit rolled through. We went down there driving around and it looked like hiroshima/nagasaki after the a-bomb.
I prefer the term "landmassians"
WE ARE THE LANDMASSIANS, OF THE LANDMASS BETWEEN N'ORLINS AND MOBILE! Someone farts in the general direction of a power line and the power goes out for days.
So I honestly thought this thread was about some guy named Isaac....

So it's officially a hurricane now. Not sure if it will be able to make cat 2 before landfall. Probably not.
