‘He came to a party a few weeks ago and he took some paracetamol beforehand. He used to take drugs all the time.’
What's wrong with paracetamol?
What's wrong with paracetamol?
The problem comes when the parrots eat em all
What's wrong with paracetamol?
I think the problem was that he was taking them recreationally - which seems totally pointless anyway
I'm glad they put the important video game stuff in the headline and start of the article, and leave this boring unimportant stuff for lower down: [editline]29th April 2014[/editline] Wait This reads like it was the teacher who played Dark Souls. Nice1 daily mail
Elitist media: "Uhhhh...nope...no identifiers here as to why this happenned...looks like another case of the video games..."
Why do some of you think bringing a knife for protection is irrational? Have any of you ever been jumped by a group of people? Have any of you ever been assaulted with a weapon or object in a fight? Shit happens, I understand why he carries a knife on him.
I've been jumped and beaten up pretty badly by a group of students, I don't think for a second that adding a knife to that situation would have helped. Best case scenario: I stab someone else, they disarm and stab me, or I get away and these people come back for revenge. Carrying a knife to school where I lived was usually a cry for help in my school. Kids just don't always realise that being scared and asking for help is okay. The type of society that breeds these violent kids is only going to be perpetuated by someone's brother, sister, cousin or child being killed.
This is why I kept a knife on me when I moved to a new school... I never trusted anyone there and I had it for my own self-defense but the administration assumed I was going to assault someone. I bet he was a huge scrub and got wrecked at PvP
I wonder Why.
Grand Theft Auto V, of course.

It's still highly irrational, no matter what the situation is.
You're honestly a knobhead if you blame video games before psychological problems.
Just saw a thing about his Facebook profile on the news and just laughed. "This shows his obsession with console gaming" Then it just fucking zooms in onto the Crash Bandicoot cover.
I REALLY hate to do this, but the photo and name in the OP might be violating various laws and reporting restrictions. Might want to remove it / be careful with it. People can and have been prosecuted for similar things recently.
I can't stand it when media speculates on something - especially when full names + faces are combined - without actually knowing anything for certain. [editline]29th April 2014[/editline] Ninja
Geoff wouldn't even watch the Annoncement Trailer for Dead Island. Talk about misinformed. But hey, red top newspapers and The Mail. You read them for anything other than to OD on irony and unintentional satire you deserve to be misinformed.
IF EVERYONE HAD GUNS THIS WOULDN'T HAPPEN
I wonder Why.
Because he needed the achievement.
Well, it's not like the teacher would be stabbed to life, now would she?
the kind of people who choose to carry knives are the same kind of people who get into that sort of shit
are the kinds of people who choose to install antivirus programs the same kind of people who go about spreading viruses???
This is why I kept a knife on me when I moved to a new school... Then I got caught with it and got suspended for a month and 1 year probation (got off 6 months for good behavior). I never trusted anyone there and I had it for my own self-defense but the administration assumed I was going to assault someone. Sucks for the teacher though. There's no reason for that. Especially with a job that you kind of just don't expect to die doing. But, now-a-days.. Being a teacher is almost as risky as being a police officer.
They probably did believe it was strictly for self defense otherwise you'd probably have had a worse punishment then that. Problem is carrying a knife for self defense purposes is also illegal so you're punished regardless.
the kind of people who choose to carry knives are the same kind of people who get into that sort of shit
I've carried a knife every day of my life since I was 11 or 12 years old, except at school (for the most part unless I forgot I had it in my backpack) and I've never once had to use it. I do feel safer with it than without, though mostly as a defense against aggressive stray dogs rather than malevolent people. Without a knife, I'd be fucked when going up against a fit pit bull or rottweiler bent on chewing me up. It also helps that I am somewhat educated in the use and consequences of use of bladed weapons, which has kept me from ever drawing it in the few fights I've been in throughout my life. [editline]29th April 2014[/editline]
Try and pull a knife when you get mugged, you'll likely end up dead instead of bruised.
It helps that the knife I've carried for roughly 10 years is matte black and lever assisted, which makes it harder to see and allows it to be opened almost silently and used in the same motion. I would never brandish my knife, and would only remove it from my pocket to immediately and without warning use it if necessary in an attempt to save my own life or somebody else's.
you're just another fucking fantasy creep

I was actually 11 at the time too, heh. It wasn't a hunting knife or anything, more of a utility knife. I never even thought of stabbing anyone/anything except for some dirt to pick at. Needless to say, one of my friends told on me and I had to give it to the VP. Heh, I remember crying in the office thinking that my life was over and that I was a menace. The schools always have a good point, though: you can never be too certain, and it's best to just keep that shit as far away as possible.
There is absolutely no good reason to bring a knife to school, end of. Doesn't matter how rough your school is, there is no way having a knife on you would improve any situation you could be in
There is absolutely no good reason to bring a knife to school, end of. Doesn't matter how rough your school is, there is no way having a knife on you would improve any situation you could be in
What if you don't stab anyone/intend on doing so?
What if you don't stab anyone/intend on doing so?
well then why bring the knife? you're just going to get yourself hurt in the end, either by escalating shit, flopping around uselessly with a knife you both can't and don't want to use, getting arrested, or killing a guy horribly. i mean think about it, the best case scenario for bringing a knife with you is not using it, the second best case is getting in trouble and handing it over, and the third best case is getting arrested because you threatened to put a blade in someone's spleen. that's assuming he doesn't overpower you, and that's assuming he doesn't have a knife, in which case you're now in a knife fight with a dude and you're going to get hurt if not killed. i'd rather lose my cash and phone and have to go to the police than get killed, kill a guy, or get arrested. tbh if you'd answer any differently you're a pretty large danger to yourself and everyone else. [editline]30th April[/editline] or fuck what if he has a gun. then all you can do is hope he doesn't find the knife
What if you don't stab anyone/intend on doing so?
Then what is the point of carrying one around in the first place
Then what is the point of carrying one around in the first place

well then why bring the knife? you're just going to get yourself hurt in the end, either by escalating shit, flopping around uselessly with a knife you both can't and don't want to use, getting arrested, or killing a guy horribly. i mean think about it, the best case scenario for bringing a knife with you is not using it, the second best case is getting in trouble and handing it over, and the third best case is getting arrested because you threatened to put a blade in someone's spleen. that's assuming he doesn't overpower you, and that's assuming he doesn't have a knife, in which case you're now in a knife fight with a dude and you're going to get hurt if not killed. i'd rather lose my cash and phone and have to go to the police than get killed, kill a guy, or get arrested. tbh if you'd answer any differently you're a pretty large danger to yourself and everyone else.
Well let me answer these with a question of my own: is killing/stabbing the only thing knives are meant for? [editline]30th April 2014[/editline] Here's a hint: if you guys answer yes, let's just say that I will be greatly disturbed :v:
