Apple Refuse To Return Stolen iPhone Back To Owner

though apple would be on possession of stolen property once they receive it,
also the person could just take it in your own hands and go to the address, demand what is rightfully theirs and have the police there incase of any problems.
How does it make sense for them to do this? Her phone was stolen, she filed a police report for it, later she gets an email and verified the serial number with the email and her account so we KNOW it it is her phone, apple knows it's her phone, it's obvious the idiot stole it, jailbroke it, is using it on another number, and is trying to do a defective exchange for it, when it's not his phone.
Something's wrong with this picture.
Phone stolen? There's an app for that. But it got rejected. And because you didn't fill out the paper work, the police isn't going to do shit.
