They say they have an area of interest but its less than a square mile, pretty much a forest and a residential area. He would be long out of there im sure if he wants to stay alive... Facebook was active as of an hour ago, he added 2 more friends... Facebook better be cooperating with them with tracing IPs, if he has a phone with data then I don't see how the fuck they cant track that, otherwise I dont know how he is getting to the internet. Unless someone else is on his facebook, spooky...

Might have a satellite connection, then it would be pretty hard to trace him I think.
Or just use a cellphone not registered to his name and connect to facebook through a proxy.
If he got a normal phone and connects to facebook directly, facebook would have to give the IP to the cellphone provider and they would have to determine what phone it is and then trace it.

If you want to talk about it following a shooting go ahead, just don't try to use fearmongering or an emotional appeal about the people who died in the shooting, use actual evidence that proposed legislation will have some effect. What I hate is the whole "If we didn't have these evil assault weapons then these people would still be here. Who even needs them, look at how many people they kill and that's all they ever do." Because it's both wrong and exploitative of the people who died.
