Obamacare replacement vote withdrawn after lack of support

Has anyone considered that Trump never actually wanted to get rid of Obamacare in the first place?

Have you even been listening to Trump's speeches the past election year? Or maybe his tweets before he started running?
This is such a dumb, baiting question. Why the fuck wouldn't he want to get rid of Obamacare? He's wanted to since the beginning.

It's a joy watching the weird way your mind works.
What appears to the entire world to be a colossal failure for Trump, a man who claims to be a genius dealmaker but can't make a deal, must of course be a part of his master plan.
It couldn't be otherwise, because then Trump would have made a mistake, which is impossible.

Part of that 4-dimensional chess game, eh?
Has anyone considered that Trump never actually wanted to get rid of Obamacare in the first place?
Yeah I bet a few very desperate/insane people have.
Has anyone considered that Trump never actually wanted to get rid of Obamacare in the first place?
So can I ask you something?
What would it take for you to genuinely question Trumps integrity or motives or capability?

The Multiverse Backgammon that Donald Trump Jr. plays is truely one of the greatest things to happen in the history of humankind.

Seriously, you have to be a troll.
Has anyone considered that Trump never actually wanted to get rid of Obamacare in the first place?
maybe donald trump doesn't actually want to be president, so he's being a colossal failure at every turn to get booted out as soon as possible

Good. This bill was an insult to conservatives from the beginning. It's better off dead.
Ryan press conference notes:
-Ryan believes Obamacare is so flawed that it cannot be propped up any further.
It's almost like 8 years of bitching and bullheadedness from the Republican party might have contributed to it being flawed...
So if I pick up and read the art of the deal do I get to learn negotiating skills like this
Good. This bill was an insult to conservatives from the beginning. It's better off dead.
It's an insult to the poor, while being a huge tax break on the wealthiest in America. The only solution is a Medicare-for-all single payer plan.
Seriously, you have to be a troll.
There comes a point where you get the same result from talking to them either way so why bother.

As much as this is likely not true, it is humorous to reflect this all might just have been a publicity stunt so he could add "I was president once" to his ego-belt. It's very patently Trump.

which is exactly why for the past few weeks he's literally strong armed members of congress to support it

Great publicity for Democrats. This replacement had like a 17% approval. Thanks Democrats!
Wow, republicans make the government lock up when they have a minority and blame it on the democrats, and then they go get a majority, lock up the government, and blame it on the democrats!
with trump the buck stops... somewhere else idk its such a nice buck id hate to stop it here but i could if i wanted to but go look over there...
[editline]25th March 2017[/editline]
you know where they could have gotten 22 votes to overcome the freedom caucus was from that other side of the chamber... but surely nobody exists over there, i mean you can't tell me there wasn't anything they could have done to get moderate republicans and democrats to agree that would have worked.
now this makes 2018 even more imperative to lock up seats for the democrats
And what would he gain from screwing himself over with the first thing that wasn't a executive order(according to the media here)? The man that has a book with his name on it about making deals can't pass probably his most important campaign promise in a government slanted into his favour.
Probably because he mentioned wanting to keep certain parts of the ACA, which the Republicans want smashed, burned, and salted so that nothing may grow again. I think that after all these years of posturing that the ACA is the worst thing since Stalinism, they're too spiteful/prideful/petty to leave any of it intact because it might seem like they're admitting that certain parts of it weren't nearly as bad as they made it out to be.
Someone on another message board I go to posted this gif in the topic about this

WITHOUT ITS PILLARS, THE GREAT HOUSE OF ROME BEGAN ITS SLIDING DESCENT INTO RUIN. ALL THAT LAY IN ITS WAKE WAS A MYRIAD OF SHATTERED MARBLE AND GLITTERING RUINS, GAPED AT BY THE BARBARIAN HORDES THEY TRIED SO HARD TO OPPRESS AND CONTAIN.

Why on Earth would anyone consider that when he has such a long history of denouncing it and one of this biggest campaign promises was to repeal it?
Like seriously, what possible reason could there be to suspect that even for a moment?

- Tell people it's awful when they've already been told it's awful. Your voterbase and party agrees that it's awful despite it not being the worst thing since human bot-fly maggots that spit hydrofluoric acid. Get support.
- Tell them you'll get rid of it. Get more support from party and voterbase.
- Say you'll make an even better replacement, more support from voterbase and still support from party.
- When time comes, replacement turns out to be awful as fuck.
"See folks, the ACA isn't as bad as you thought it could be."
4D Chinese Go.

Easy to see it coming after the way Trump dealt with his plan to eliminate ISIS:
- Brag for a year that he has a plan to eliminate ISIS in six months and it's so great it's better than anything the US' Generals can think of
- Refuse to show anyone the plan or talk about even a single detail about it all year
- Become the Republican nominee, keep ISIS plan close to chest even then
- Finally reveal his epic top-secret ISIS plan: Ask the Generals to figure it out for him

"I know more than the generals!"
*leaves it to the generals*
Sounds like classic Trump to me.
