as soon as you said that I imagined all the lights near and in a patiants room going off
then suddenly
batman infront of him
To be honest, if I was in their place, I'd be fucking ecstatic.

He later apologized for this and completely made up with the guy that did that. It was during one of the most important scenes of the movie and a lot of the cast and crew were tense.
Wouldn't this traumatize them? It could trigger bad memories, just by being related to the shooting.
Oh you
I'm always glad when actors I admire turn out to be people you can admire too.
Wouldn't this traumatize them? It could trigger bad memories, just by being related to the shooting.
Pretty sure the adults that were hurt understand that it was a crazed mass-murderer gunman attack, and that it's over now.
And talk about bad memories, these people will remember it till the day they DO die.
cut off contact with his mother (who talked to the local paper about how it tore her apart)
went apeshit nuts at a cast member
now there's probably stuff I'm missing and he's a good actor but it's nice to see him balancing the scales
cutting off contact with your mother doesnt make you a dick, people do that for a reason not willy nilly
Someone showed me this petition and I thought it would be amazing of him to do this. Glad to see he actually did it, hopefully raises the spirits of those injured.
The guy in the pic in the OP doesn't seem too traumatised to me
I am definitely feeling nothing but love and am ready to get started on this recovery! By the way, first 30 minutes of the dark knight were SICK!!
It trips me out how much he acts and sounds like Jim Carrey in that. I hope it's not just me who's seeing that.

Nevermind, I'm wrong.
You say that as if he's showing up in a dark room wearing body armor with a bunch of guns strapped to him.
The movie isn't what scared the shit out of them. It was the guy trying to kill them.
too fuckin soon
[sp]give it a year or so[/sp]
I've never understood this. If a relative of mine was shot to death and someone made a joke about it, I wouldn't care if it was a day, a year, or ten years after it happened. I would be offended no matter how long it's been. It's not like there's some deadline where offensive jokes will stop having an imaginary "fuck all those who died I am genuinely glad it happened" at the end of them. It's a joke, made to induce laughter, nothing more. The time has no effect on the feelings of those who were involved in whatever incident, it's the people you make the joke around that matter.
If a friend of mine's father was in one of the planes that hit the trade centre, I'm not gonna say "Haha, remember 9/11? Pff, that shit was hilarious!", but I personally found the video of the footage sped up with the Benny Hill theme or whatever playing in the background to be funny.
If you're going to make a joke, I think that by all means, make it. Just make sure you're not going to offend the people you're trying to make laugh. But I honestly don't believe that most of the people on this site who rate dumb and call people assholes for making jokes were actually offended by what the person said, but are just used to some mindset where your watch tells them whether to laugh or not.
Anyways, just sharing my view on this. Not trying to be rude, just think the whole "too soon" thing is silly. Maybe I'm just insensitive. Perhaps someone could explain it to me. Oh well.
Some other shooting victims got to meet another Batman actor.
Heath Ledger
lmao
Oh god please why playing hellMOO has turned me into a despicable human being
batman is such a bro
I remember seeing an petition to him to go beat up the shooter in the court dressed up as Batman. I wonder if hes going to do that next.

Christian Bale is a kind man.
considering what he's done before this is quite nice
what?
if you're talking about shouting at a dumb cinematographer, then you know nothing about Bale.

Fuck I should have refreshed the page first.

Jim Carrey is an annoying fuckhead.

In your opinion maybe. I thought he was brilliant in Liar Liar, Bruce Almighty, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and The Truman Show.
Regardless, in my opinion, Christian Bale was clearly channeling some of Carrey's manic energy and quirky mannerisms in that scene.

You can't into psychology.

I didn't think Bale would actually do this, but now that he did, he seems like a very nice person.

Don't read too much into ratings, my phone rates posts as it pleases while I scroll down the page.
Apparently my phone thinks this article is funny.
