Reviews are total shit.Metacritic is 64 right now
No, they are mixed Which I know isn't saying much
No, they are mixed Which I know isn't saying much
64 is a complete disaster for a triple-A game.
Reviews are total shit.Metacritic is 64 right now
Not a surprise. Nobody asked for a game like this. If you want an interactive movie you might as well play telltale stuff, at least there you get to shape the story.
This will probably end up like Ryse, it does look really pretty but probably be forgotten really fast.
i wouldn't pick this game up if it was the order $18.86 [editline]19th February 2015[/editline]
This will probably end up like Ryse, it does look really pretty but probably be forgotten really fast.
ryse at least has more actual gameplay time and actual gameplay
I feel like since the "next gen" consoles came out, we've taken a giant leap backwards in terms of graphical ability in games. And not because of the hardware, because the developers are cutting corners and trying to get away with it.

No joke, they probably could have made multiple Call of Duty films with the advertising budgets of the last couple of COD games combined.
I don't trust black bars since Evil Within blocking shit you should be able to see at your feet.
Hey look it sucks. Big surprise.
I was planning to strategically send back Rayman Legends to get this as soon as possible through gamefly, now I'm glad I decided to hold on to it
I was planning to strategically send back Rayman Legends to get this as soon as possible through gamefly, now I'm glad I decided to hold on to it
Send away Rayman Legends anyway, ok?
So I went to my Gamestop's midnight launch of the game, and been struggling to come up for a reason to actually keep my pre-order. I just went ahead at last second and switched my credit to bloodborne instead. I really wanted this game to be amazing because I love the premise, hoping to get it when it's around $20 and for it to have a killer sequel.
1886 is like an alternative universe version of gears of war and by that i mean it exists in a universe where gears of war was a really bad and really short game
I'll use subtlety to convince my friends to gift me the "game" for my birthday Just to be perfectly clear, I love the art design and the (not stellar, I'll admit) story despise the whole cinematic crap, so I'll get the game, sooner or later I'd prefer sooner and for free, if you don't mind
so what you're telling me is this game isn't even 1080p at 20fps? hahahahahahaha what the fuck were they thinking holy christ what is it then? 1920x700? pffffthahahahhaha NEXT GEN E X T G E N
Have you seen the game? I watched a LP and couldn't tell if it was prerendered or ingame. Holy moly.
Have you seen the game? I watched a LP and couldn't tell if it was prerendered or ingame. Holy moly.
And go figure, the only way they could mange it without the next gen consoles burning down homes was to construct very tiny and limited gameplay spaces, not render things behind an awful letterbox, and crank the fov knob all the way down to michael bay levels of camera zoom! Wow totally next gen!
Did anyone actually expect this game to be good? The minute I saw gameplay I just knew it would be a generic grey TPS

Wow totally next gen!
Be realistic; for the $400 the system costs, it puts out excellent visuals relative to a PC of the same price. Besides, when have developers -ever- taken full utilization of console hardware this early into the system's lifespan. I know you don't like the 2.4.1 aspect ratio, but the visuals they're pumping out (seemingly the only real praise the game is getting :v:) are pretty exceptional compared to most titles out, even in PC.
Did anyone actually expect this game to be good? The minute I saw gameplay I just knew it would be a generic grey TPS
IIRC all the previews were pretty meh about it, but the amount of articles and hype build up was like it was the next Uncharted or something.
Did anyone actually expect this game to be good? The minute I saw gameplay I just knew it would be a generic grey TPS
Generic grey TPS or not, I love the art style and theme and if I had a PS4 I might consider it for that alone. I've enjoyed a couple of generic grey TPSes for which the theme compensated for the gameplay. Spec Ops, for one. But it's an exclusive, so, that answers that.

Yet another disappointing exclusive. If this shit keeps up, I'm switching to PC.
When I first saw promotional crap for this game it was fairly obvious that they weren't trying to go for a groundbreaking product. I think my reaction was something like "oh what a cool concept, hopefully it gets made into something good, but I know it probably wont." and then I forgot about it until now. and it's confirmed not good so, yeah, always trust gut reactions.
Yet another disappointing exclusive. If this shit keeps up, I'm switching to PC.
Why not both?
Why not both?
I'm currently saving up for a car, so getting a proper gaming PC is out of the question.
I can run arma 3 on a laptop connected to my TV at 1080p better than that game runs.
I'm currently saving up for a car, so getting a proper gaming PC is out of the question.
I think I paid like $370 total for my computer, and the only game I've had trouble running is Dying Light due to the port being shit. I just bought some old shitty refurbished computer with a somewhat decent processor in it for ~$200 and bought a GTX 750 Ti for it. I get about 40 FPS average on Unigine Heaven maxed out with extreme tessellation
The Walking Dead to only cite one example doesn't actually have any decisions that make a real impact. It allows you to briefly take an alternate route but you're quickly brought back to the same path as you were on before. Even choosing who lives and dies has no actual impact because you'll either never see this person again, or if they allow them to live they'll die anyway when the story needs them to go away. The game lets you think your actions have importance by shaking unimportant effects in front of you to hide the linearity of the story and it works. A game that actually did branching stories a lot better (but horribly failed at having a compelling story) was Heavy Rain, where you could actually just outright end the game early if you fucked everything up and had everyone die before the killer could be revealed. And even then, the game had to eventually cheat to actually put the player back on track.
well fuck, you did get me there [editline]20th February 2015[/editline] and also, I'm so late to reply something is wrong with my brain
2015 better not be as shit as 2014
I only still have high hopes because of the Beth conference at E3.
I only still have high hopes because of the Beth conference at E3.
skyrim 2 confirmed nothing else
