There are thousands of children in the UK that are looking for a good, adoptive home - but no, why don't we spend money on this instead.
You raise a very good point but some people want their kids to be a biological extension of themselves. You can highlight the problem, but you can't change people.
If you have any gene-related illnesses, can you donate sperm? (Like Asthma, etc.)
no, sperm donation brotocol says that it has to be free of genetic defects

sperm donation is so frat
Except studied have shown that children of lesbian and gay couples show better academic attainment and wellbeing than the average heterosexual couple.

To be fair comparing your average hetero couple to a gay couple trying to have kids is a bit unfair, considering a gay couple will generally have to seriously want children and be in good financial standing to even consider child-rearing. Also consider that they will generally be more progressive than a hetero family (at least in the USA). If you compare progressive, above-average hetero familes (in terms of socioeconomic standing) I doubt you'd see much of a difference. I also suspect you'd see less of a difference in more progressive, socialized nations.
Overall though opening up affordable fertility options to the public at large (including but not limited to gay couples) is a great idea and I wish Canada would do the same. It would make my own wife-to-be a lot more comfortable considering the fertility issues in her family.
Maybe a bit off topic, but what about surrogate mothers for male couples and single men ? How is that regulated ?
I think kids should grow up in a family with a father and a mother. There are tons of studies which bring up the benefits of having a father figure.

And then comes the point that most single moms have low income while also not having always time for their kids.
It is a pretty selfish act to bring up kids when you can't provide a good environment for kids to grow.
Then gay couples are twice more efficient at raising children !
Flawless logic.
the daily mail is becoming increasingly reminiscent of the government in v for vendetta
Oh goody Batman!
It's the Daily Mail and you know what that means: It's time for the best rated comments!

So, if I understand this correctly - these children won't need Fathers because society is going to tax men into poverty to fund these so-called "families"? One very sick society we are creating.
This is ridiculous. The NHS is a 'Health Service' it should not be providing this type of service to people who cannot have children because of their lifestyle. So this is more important than cancer treatment or A&E is it?

Readersmeader, London, 2 days ago
Do these children have a say in being purposely denied a father in their lives?

Dan, London, 2 days ago
It seems like all the left-wing women had terrible fathers that abandoned their mothers and this is the justification for this state enforced 'service'. Looks like this service is just going to create more fatherless leftists.
I can simply hope I can get a refund on my lost braincells.
This is the same Daily Mail that prints paparazzi photos of 14-year-old celebrities in their bikinis and captions them "all grown up".
Which is effectively code for "it's okay to masturbate to this one."
Just wait for those girls who are simply desperate for their daily dose of sperm to start purchasing donations to swallow.

This means 90% of FP cant be sperm donors
As always, posting this is absolutely necessary.

OP, why didn't you use a more reputable source, like Dailystormer?
sorry to derail main topic but just want to pose a question
what if all media was objective and non-biased?
instead of feeding dumb tabloid gossip in the vein of 1984, news is hard, neutral data for the average person to look at and interpret how they want?
