True true. Unborn baby isn't a baby, hence unborn.
In case Troll McTrollington wants my official opinion, I feel that life begins at the point where the baby can be removed from the mother and not most certainly die. Until that point, it is just a growth and an extension of the mother.
For the same reason we attempt to rehabilitate criminals, because in the long run it will be better for them. Last I checked an infant was still a person, and the constitution doesn't begin with "We the people" for nothing.
Infant=/=Lump of cells
Last I checked an infant was still a person, and the constitution doesn't begin with "We the people" for nothing.
"We the people". Yeah. Fetuses aren't people.
Last I checked an infant was still a person, and the constitution doesn't begin with "We the people" for nothing.
In the eyes of the law Infant == Person Fetus != Person edit: way to tell him, guys.
I don't feel like explaining to you that for the first... I don't even remember how many months of pregnancy, the fetus isn't even alive, basically, so I'll suffice it to say that this world is headed to becoming overpopulated fast, and rather than let more people be born, I would see it as an acceptable moral sacrifice to let some not be born, to better the lives of those already alive, and better the lives of future generations through endeavors such as stem cell research.
Except that overpopulation can be prevented through a much cheaper procedure, proper use of condoms. (I'm not one of those wacko-Christians that disapprove of their use.)
In the eyes of the law Infant == Person Fetus != Person
Once in the eyes of the law, slavery was legal and an African-American was 3/5ths human, but I suppose if the law said so it must have been right!
First off, everyone has rights. Secondly, it's not in the church's power to tell the government what to do. The United States was founded partly to separate church and state, and it should be so.
But you're killing innocent sperms! That's a form of abortion!
Excuse me but are you insinuating that a single sperm could eventually develop intelligence?
The church isn't obligated by the government for their social services, if the government doesn't appeal to a religion, the religion doesn't have to appeal to the government. Simple as that.
Once in the eyes of the law, slavery was legal and an African-American was 3/5ths human, but I suppose if the law said so it must have been right!
Holy shit, this was the most fallacious argument I've ever seen.
Excuse me but are you insinuating that a single sperm could eventually develop intelligence?
If it found its way into an egg, yeah. Just because the sperm and the egg are together doesn't mean they have any more sentience than a sperm alone.
Too bad your church doesn't seem to agree with you, therefore, you don't agree with the will of god, therefore, you're going to burn in hell, so, where does this leave us?
I am not Catholic, just because I agree with some of their policies doesn't mean I follow the church everywhere. [editline]12:27AM[/editline]
If it found its way into an egg, yeah. Just because the sperm and the egg are together doesn't mean they have any more sentience than a sperm alone.
Except a single sperm will never gain intelligence, while a united sperm and egg will.
Once in the eyes of the law, slavery was legal and an African-American was 3/5ths human, but I suppose if the law said so it must have been right!
The Bible says to throw rocks at gay people until they die, and if the Bible says it, it must be right!
Sounds like a pretty Christian thing to do. Oh yea punish the poor if we don't get what we want. waaaah waaaah
For the same reason we attempt to rehabilitate criminals, because in the long run it will be better for them.
Yeah? Well, that's just like, you know, your opinion, man.
I am not Catholic, just because I agree with some of their policies
Gay bashing time?
The United States was founded partly to separate church and state, and it should be so.
Our country was founded because of a hatred of taxes. Learn your facts.
Excuse me but are you insinuating that a single sperm could eventually develop intelligence?
Evidently, my sarcasm was lost on you.
I am not Catholic, just because I agree with some of their policies doesn't mean I follow the church everywhere.
You clearly believe in a deity, because of your mentioning of Hell. You support banning homosexuality and abortion. If it quacks like a duck...
The Bible says to throw rocks at gay people until they die, and if the Bible says it, it must be right!
I follow the belief that they can be forgiven, but it would still be better if the laws were in place to prevent the sin from taking place in the first place.
Except a single sperm will never gain intelligence, while a united sperm and egg will.
You used to be a unified sperm and egg. Explain.
In the eyes of the law Infant == Person Fetus != Person
Why did a Planned Parenthood director leave then?
I am not Catholic, just because I agree with some of their policies doesn't mean I follow the church everywhere.
Going to hell.
You clearly believe in a deity, because of your mentioning of Hell. You support banning homosexuality and abortion. If it quacks like a duck...
It's called Protestantism, learn a bit more about Christianity and you won't sound so ignorant.
HEY, POPE! FUCK UUUUUUU
You used to be a unified sperm and egg. Explain.
Exactly, and I'm more intelligent than a majority of the people in this thread.
Our country was founded because of a hatred of taxes. Learn your facts.
True, I misposted. :L "One Nation Under God" :hist101:
I follow the belief that they can be forgiven, but it would still be better if the laws were in place to prevent the sin from taking place in the first place.
You want laws to ban people from being gay? Well then, I want laws that ban people from being religious. :smug:
