1. The Bible has just as much, if not more legitimacy than any textbook, given the vast amount of accounts contained in it and the various councils it has been edited through.

Yeah, okay. And the Koran has just as much knowledge, thus should be used as a moral conduct code.

The bible has as much validity as the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. You still didn't prove me wrong.

Ever seen a tree branch move?
One moves because of the wind, why does the baby move?
One moves because of the wind, why does the baby move?
So you're saying the wind is sentient?
Oh great wind-god, show me the way to deal with this troll
Yeah, okay. And the Koran has just as much knowledge, thus should be used as a moral conduct code.
Even the Koran acknowledges the prophet status of Jesus, and is itself a reinforcement of the what Bible says.
One moves because of the wind, why does the baby move?
Involentary muscle spasms?
So you're saying the wind is sentient?

Blow him.
Wait...
So you're saying the wind is sentient?

No, but nice strawman, the wind moves the branch, WHY DOES A BABY MOVE?
Yeah, okay. And the Quran has just as much knowledge, thus should be used as a moral conduct code.
Fixed.
Even the Koran acknowledges the prophet status of Jesus, and is itself a reinforcement of the what Bible says.
What I was trying to say, no holy book has more legitmacy than another.
Involentary muscle spasms?
Which would indicate a human nervous system, and therefore it is a living person.
No, but nice strawman, the wind moves the branch, WHY DOES A BABY MOVE?
Nerves. Kind of the same reason a spider leg keeps twitching after you pull it off.
No, but nice strawman, the wind moves the branch, WHY DOES A BABY MOVE?
how is babby formed?
Which would indicate a human nervous system, and therefore it is a living person.
Living person requires sentience, not just a nervous system kicking out random signals.
Which would indicate a human nervous system, and therefore it is a living person.
It's a living organism, I wouldn't call it a person. You're under the assumption that it has a soul/spirit and that's what makes it a person.
What I was trying to say, no holy book has more legitmacy than another.
Except the Quran adds legitimacy to the Bible, and not visa-versa, therefore the Bible is more valid.
Which would indicate a human nervous system, and therefore it is a living person.
How I look at it, if it has a concious and knows its alive and everything works in partaicine, then its alive.
It's a living organism, I wouldn't call it a person.
But you admit that it is alive.

I'm sorry, but saying that all of our founding fathers were deist because Jefferson, Paine, and Franklin were is stupid. Yes, many of them read deist works by French Authors so they could get a good understanding of a secular government, but they were highly religious back then.
Except the Quran adds legitimacy to the Bible, and not visa-versa, therefore the Bible is more valid.
What about all of the things that make the bible appear illegitimate? Are you just going to dismiss these things?
Except the Quran adds legitimacy to the Bible, and not visa-versa, therefore the Bible is more valid.
Just because its in a book doesn't mean its right? And nothing backs up the bible nor the Quran.
It's a living organism, I wouldn't call it a person. You're under the assumption that it has a soul/spirit and that's what makes it a person.
It's a living singular organism, it has a human nervous system, so why do you suppose it can't feel?

Everything that makes the Bible look illegitimate is eventually proven wrong, it's only a matter of time, or they are roundabout ways of explaining things that were clearly done by God.
If I write a book, and in it, I say that it is OK to stone Christians to death, then proceed to say that this book is the word of God - my God - I could therefore by your values stone you to death. I claim it to be the word of God, therefore it is true; that is how you operate, so that is how I can operate; I have the freedom to do so.
Brb writing a book
Guy's it's ok the US wasn't founded on religion so they can't do shit.
You are right.
"All persons shall have full and free liberty of religious opinion; nor shall any be compelled to frequent or maintain any religious institution": freedom for religion, but also freedom from religion. - Thomas Jefferson

The difference is that the Bible was composed of many different accounts, not just one, so your ignorance is showing.
