Can we get like another rogue squadron with bigger maps and bigger ships online
That just isn't mainstream enough for EA Fuck, why did Disney go and give them exclusive rights.
I'm just glad that Visceral hasn't been completely shut down, there's still hope for a Dead Space Prequel or spinoff.
Listen to yourself. Listen to yourself. Your argument in favor of Battlefront is that it isn't inherently, fundamentally broken. To not rock the boat about ludicrous prices, because getting gouged this hard is the norm with these games and bringing it up might upset other people. That you should be satisfied with how much they managed to get done despite getting shoved out the door for a quick buck, instead of getting upset at the concept of quick-buck-shoving in of itself. What is this? No, really, what is this? Saying that it's good if you keep in mind the horrible, horrible things it's been burdened with is not the same as just saying that it's good. It's saying that if you are able to keep your hand on the stove until the nerves in your palm die, then you won't mind being burned by it any more and will get to enjoy the smell of meat cooking in peace.
So all I got from this post is "Look at you! Oh my GOD get back on the bandwagon!!"
So all I got from this post is "Look at you! Oh my GOD get back on the bandwagon!!"
If there is a "Bandwagon" nowadays for not being okay with shelling out over a hundred dollars for a product inferior to it's predecessors with a smile and a remark of "Oh boy, I'm so glad that they made it functional this time" then yes. Get back on it. I will do my best to pick you up and throw you back on it, if necessary. We are consumers, not cattle. We don't have to be milked dry. It is not an inherent part of the deal, and attempting to excuse it disgusts me.

I can see not being alright with shelling 60 bucks for a multiplayer game but damn dude you're on a whole other level.

The promise of content getting patched in somewhere in the future doesn't change that it was pushed out the door with an I.O.U. taped to it and a slot for your credit card if you just happen to feel that what you currently have isn't enough. I may be getting dramatic, but I am literally seeing people trying to play down unacceptable consumer practices in this thread by pointing out that the product is actually functional for once and that people should appreciate them for managing that. I usually do not get angry easily, but sweet Jesus that will do it.
dead space 4
Only if the story has nothing to do with Isaac Clarke or Ellie or Carver. Dead Space 3 needed to have Carver as the protagonist instead of Isaac, but sadly that didn't happen.

It's not really going to be optional, like always with any Dice game, owning the season pass is the only way to actually play most of the game. The season pass being almost as much as a full game. I don't give a shit that you want to pay that, but how do you really think it works for the industry as a whole? Are you okay with it just being the standard? The game is full of problems for lots of people. I've seen lots of people say "No, those complaints are invalid". I don't think so. Look at Delta's posts here. They're all reasons why the game is not complaint worthy, it's not a good game but it's not worthy of complaints. I don't even remotely agree with that. I wasn't a huge fan of BF2, but I do remember it having; 1) a variety of classes 2) a very "Alive" feeling battlefield thanks to AI units(Sure Walker Assualt feels alive but not so much to any other game mode) 3) A variety of vehicles for both sides 4) a less rock paper scissors level of game balance And from what I do see with the game, I can't believe where effort went where it's obvious it shouldn't have. The diorama mode? Even if that was literally 10 minutes of work, that's 10 minutes that should have been else where. The so called "Customization"? It needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. The lack of a story portion, even in the vein of Titanfall/Brink, where the story is just a variation of the multiplayer maps lined up into a story, which has proven successful before would be an improvement. It's not unreasonable to assume people have a variety of reasons to be really rather let down about it.
There's no adventure in linear
Mmm hmm exploring the empty wastelands that are most open world games sure is an adventure. Not carefully crafted, well made level design with legitimately good atmosphere and a real sense of having an adventure. Like you will get anything as fucking cool looking and interesting as doing jedi parkour across the high-rise towers and bridges in Nar Shadaa from Jedi Outcast in an open world game.
I wonder if this will be similar to Star Wars Galaxies or if it'll be more akin to Battlefront + TOR, or if it'll even be an MMORPG.
STAR WARS GALAXIES 2 WHERE ARE YOU
If you're looking for a resurrection of Star Wars Galaxies, there's SWGReborn (an NGE emulator, they had something like 500 people online earlier today).
Open world eh? can't wait to liberate Empire outposts and unlock sci-fi radar towers.
If this was Ubisoft, I'd agree. But its not.
