The thread title is pretty misleading, seeing as how it would be more accurate to say, "Russians slammed a satellite into the Moon hours before the Apollo landing." Current title implies the Russians had some secret Apollo equivalent program and landed men on the Moon before the Americans.

Hopefully in the future Americans won't clain the moon for themselves if anyone is going to have it it will be... yup, no one. And if companies to start to get resources from the moon then it should be strictly monitored and the companys should not be private but run by the United nations and the profit spread into different departments not just fat guys pocket where he can buy massive houses and lots of cars.

Its not the same as a nation, its a private enterprise. You don't have UN regulated companies working on Earth after all.
