PETA slammed for advertisements linking autism and dairy consumption
Not having dairy in our diet isn't bad, some research suggests that excessive milk makes our bones worse off in the long run. I'm just glad that this campaign won't have a large negative effect on society like the vaccines causing autism crap.
You can say much the same about any food group, too much of anything is good for nothing. Vitamin and mineral poisoning, for instance, due to supplement abuse, is much more common than is noted these days.
Well in theory it can be fixed by fixing the GI tract, and diet is a huge part of that but not the only requirement. I'm not an expert on ASD's but I have come across a good amount of research on this stuff. I've read plenty of cases of Autism being 'cured' this way, I don't have any first-hand experience with these conditions so I can't speak on them any more than that.
But when it comes to food groups like Gluten it's not so cut-and-dry as 'allergic' or 'not allergic', gluten along with other foods can lead to GI problems over the long term even if you don't have a strict allergy to them, and said GI problems have also been linked to children with Autism, that's all I was saying
You're an idiot. The closest thing that can cure autism is being misdiagnosed with it when younger because you're a strange kid and growing up to not show many of the symptoms any more.
Milk itself isn't harmful (unless you're intolerant), [B]but all of the diary products today, contain artificial sweeteners, hormones etc.

if you own a farm and your cow only eats insecticide-free grass, then feel free to drink it.
Time to never eat any kind of food sold in any kind of store for the rest of my life.
Alternatives to milk milk suck.
What about lactose-free milk
It's exactly like milk, except it's lactose-free
If a level 70 wizandrist can't convince you, I don't know what will.
Im starting to think that peta has autism
oxygen causes autism boycott oxygen use
Actually there's a very strong link. Lactose intolerance indicates gastrointestinal flora disruption which is very often linked to autism, along with ADHD and other conditions.
fuck that, total bullshit, it doesn't

LOL, Little Billy if you don't know horse shit about the subject or what you're "studying" for, then just leave it fucking be.
Im starting to think that peta has autism
PETA is autism.
Which suddenly gives an awkward new meaning to "Austism speaks".
The only thing dairy products like milk are going to do to you is give you a fat ass if you don't work out a lot.
I drink milk, I don't work out, I'm thin as a stick.
looks like peta is milking this for all it's worth

Speaking as someone who does have first-hand experience with autism, I would like to extend you an invitation to shut the hell up.

Autism cannot be cured. Once born with it, you have to live with it. I'm a doctor so I know my shit, and I can back this up with whatever sources you want. Now take your misinformation back to reddit or tumblr, and see if you can convince somebody else.
Gene Therapy?
"Cured"?
Look mate, you're the problem here if you think that can be cured through starvation or drastic diets. You don't just GAIN a fucking chromosome after conception.
i didnt know that i missed a chromosome. thanks mate
Funny, because milk has hefty amounts of Vitamin D to prevent a myriad of maladies, so basically if they get their way, the kids who live in relative isolation are at risk of returning to the days of rickets. There's already been reported cases of it returning to some households in the past, so they're pretty much monstrous for suggesting this.
you have to be fucking joking, autism and dairy are nowhere near CLOSE to being related to each other, in fact it's something much different that's assuming to be causing autism -- which is still a long shot.
Actually there is one line of thought that autisim is caused by gut issues at a very young age. Of course its never been proven beyond doubt, but if it was then dairy could possibly be linked.
Please tell me you are not suggesting autism can be cured by modifying the childs diet because that is horseshit.
And I loled at the gluten reference. Wasn't there a recent story about how it's not gluten causing allergic reactions but some kind of other protein? All these anti-gluten people who aren't "allergic" to it are dumb.
This is taking a possible theory (gut issues at a young age) and going way too far with it. My understanding of the theory is that at a certain young age (something like <4) the gut issue could cause it (some brain chemistry thing) but not be a thing that can be reversed.
They should be criminally prosecuted for making liable claims.

Autism cannot be cured, people with it just learn to adapt and overcome whatever problems they have which causes it to be masked. Same with any sort of disability.
I am pretty sure any "cured" cases of autism are either misdiagnosis (quite high) or very high functioning people (like aspergers, I have lost track of if that's still a thing on its own) who are able to "hide" the fact they are autistic.

Since I was diagnosed with Aspergers about 18 or so years ago so can I say that adaption is the only kind of "cure". You simply got to adapt to your environment and learn to live with the fact that you think different and can't understand some concepts in the "regular" social environment. And the as far as I know so is it impossible to treat autism, since it's a way the human brain is built that defines autism.
All my life I've had this unnatural obsession with milk. I see milk everywhere.
