Isn't it that Russia somehow becomes super powerful and can somehow wage and fund a war against every country they don't like as long as the country has an "e" in their name, because Russia fucking hates that letter, then you go rambo and kill them? Story writing at it's finest!
Every shooter game.
The website would have been more funny if it had contained ACTUAL satire of CoD rather than "this game sucks buy BF3 instead".
I wonder what Activison will do once they find www.modernwarfare4.com

Year after next year. Blops 2 is coming in 2012.
I love the Twitter feed, with the COD fanboys actually thinking it's a legitimate website. Obviously dumb enough not to read or look at the video.
The owners can sell the site for a fuckload of money to activison
Yeah, right. Activision will litigate the domain name out of their hands, sue for copyright infringement, and bury them and their families in debt for the next three generations.
Did they record from inside an empty hanger or something?

uranus
I bought ballofduty.com for the same reason
One thing is for certain.
I fucking love these guys!
...and I'll tell my kids that I lived in the days when major corporations bitched about everything and acted like seven year olds.
I don't know how this is illegal, can any american explain?
To me this seems perfectly legal.
HE registered it, he paid for it, he's giving his opinion about a product.
If that's illegal, basically every site that gives a negative review of a game is suddenly in "Bad taste" as well, and needs to be shut down.
Essentially, it's the same story on the same engine with nothing new but more gimmicky gameplay that gets old quick, and only appeals to the rock bottom of the gaming community; Prepubescents.
Me: Sigh...Modern Warfare 3 is gonna be just like Modern Warfare 2. Waste of money.
Friend: NUU IT WONT! NEW MAPZZ!!!!11!!!!!
If :smith: still worked, I'd be using it.
Ontopic: The guys who made the site deserve to keep it. It's hilarious. Activision can go cry in a corner for all I (and most of the rest of FP) care.

I agree but it depends if Modern Warfare 3 is trademarked. And it is, so I guess the name is illegal to use like this (if the ads thing is true)
Proof for Trademark:

THere is also another one:

they jacked the domain before activition got it lol

the site is a site, not a video game
The video is amazing.
Modern Warfare 3 runs on the same engine as previous COD games like BLOPs with arguably only a few minor enhancements. There is simply no way that Modern Warfare 3 can match Battlefield 3 in terms of technology so once again it will rely on gimmicks like rc car kill streaks to attract preteens to buy their product.
All true.
The owners can sell the site for a fuckload of money to activison
No, a court will give it to Activison.
Shitty as it is, it is the law. Assuming they have trademarked Modern Warfare 3.
the site is a site, not a video game
If you hold a trademark you can basically demand domains with it in the name be handed over to you.
That video is highly inaccurate, why isn't the guy talking about Modern Warfare 12 years old?
He is.
Listen to his voice.
the site is down :(
