I never gave a shit about Yogscast and I think The Best Gamers review was actually so true about the game. I bought Minecraft during indev because it got better every week. Now we have useless NPCs, a shitty tacked on enchantment system, "The End"... It fell so far from what it could have been.

fucking hell every fucking minecraft thread, someone asks "WHY DO PEOPLE NOT LIKE MINECRAFT NOW?" and then we have a huge argument which always has the same fucking responses in it a) never liked the game b) didn't like the direction it took c) disliked notch or his work ethic it isn't a sudden change, it isn't a massive bandwagon movement, it's been slowly happening. and why the hell wouldn't they have any sort of quality control on this. One person reading it with no knowledge of the language could have seen this

Mojang. Wurm was crappy and unfinished. Minecraft started off great, now it just seems the same, crappy and unfinished.

yo doggs, the whole concept around which minecraft is based (makin shit out of blocks) is wicked played out and now the game needs some wizards and shit to be cool. what's that? no, I definitely do not have my being bored with the fundamental game after having played it for 2 years straight confused with the game sucking. the game totally, objectively sucks because they need to add this novelty that I want them to add.

You know who Notch is? George Lucas. Everyone adored him for creating some great new thing that everybody loved, but then something went wrong. Maybe the success went to his head, success, maybe it was the money, maybe restrictions that kept up the quality were gone, or maybe he just lost sight of what made his earlier work good. Whatever happened, his work started to suck. Not only was it suck, though, but it felt like a slap in the face to the earlier work that everyone loved. And so not only did people lose their respect, but their former love turned into a hate of equal intensity. Also, they're both kinda fat.

Jens does all the programming by himself (aside from the AI, of course).
