A dumbass once said that no one cares about wikileaks other than the us government and European people. and anti America /b/ kiddies
Technically, you're the one being "anti-American" if you want to limit free speech or limit the rights of others.
What the....fuck...
Technically, you're the one being "anti-American" if you want to limit free speech or limit the rights of others.
what i was kind of saying was that not many americans give a flying fuck about wikileaks. i forgot internet couldnt sarcasm :saddowns: [editline]11th January 2011[/editline] although i do kinda think its dumb that our government wants to give someone the death penalty for that. Meh, he knew the risks involved when he did what he did.

Wow, that's scary I can't believe they'd even think of giving him the death penalty, how stupid.
Hell, it's about time.
This whole thing is about supposed treason against the US which is punishable by death, except for the fact that Assange is not a citizen of the US and did not directly aid enemies of the US. So this is illegal in both Europe and the US. What a load of horseshit.
Hey don't worry about it, American kids these days are taught to hate their government ( OK at least in the north) and all that in school, give it 20 years or so.
Such is the way of the foul coward. When their bad plans are revealed, they demand the head of the one who tore away the veils of deceit. If anything there should be fires outside the White House right now, but of course everybody's too lazy and too cowardly to act against the one who holds their leash, and they can't figure out that even though they can't move away from the walker, they can still move close enough to bite the walker on the leg.
So, tell us, what the fuck are YOU doing?
Guys, I know this is bad and all but what did you think was going to happen? Give him medal and all will be good? Does not work like that guys... He was dead the moment he posted the first document.
I love how there are so many people who say that nothing should be private with the government and they should disclose ALL information. These same people fail to realize there are EXTREMELY good reasons to keep certain information private. Let us run through an example: Victim: "I testified in court because this man robbed a bank and he has connections and threatened to kill me" Government: "Okay, we will put you into the witness security program." Associate of the one in Jail: "Hey, can I see those witness security program documents? Thank you!" [editline]11th January 2011[/editline]
So, tell us, what the fuck are YOU doing?
I bet he isn't starting any fires outside the White House.
I'm all for the information and evidence of war crimes being made public, but shit like releasing future military plans in place? Shit like that is putting lives and international relationships at risk. There were quite a few cases in desert storm and OIF where soldiers were killed because the media got wind of operations and decided it'd be a good idea to share it with the world.

Very wrong, and everyone is taking this out on the US like it is a bad thing... But guys... EVERY COUNTRY HAS DIRT. I don't think he should get the death penalty but he should be locked away for life. Sadly to say he will never see the day of light ever again. Either he is going to be locked away in a place were he will never be heard from again. Or they are going to execute him. America does not play around when it comes to this shit.
Who has died as a result of these leaks?
Who has died as a result of these leaks?
That is the wrong way to look at the situation. That is a really horrible way to conduct reasoning. I mean, if you drink a bottle of vodka and get complete trashed and get in your car and drive around, but luckily don't manage to hit anything, does that make driving while completely intoxicated a good idea? The fact that it happened is the issue.
Getting into a car and driving by people.. whether they're deranged elderly men or small, playful children, is a risk.

Lawful citizens have nothing to fear. You can't complain unless you're a criminal. The Government is infinitely good; they fund organizations to eliminate all corruption. There totally isn't enough resources on the planet for everyone to live and afford petty materialistic properties! This is a Democracy, meaning equality, so the PEOPLE make all of the laws. Eat, sleep and buy Consume until you die
what does the witness protection program have to do with anything. thats a legitimate government service. we are talking about things like government corruptiom.
Do you see the problem with what you just typed? It wouldn't be government corruption if they just made it public. Government: "Hey public, we are going to be letting all government employs take money out of the banks that does not belong to them! Thanks for cooperating with this government corruption!" The whole reason why it is "corruption" is because it isn't being stated. So when ANYONE makes a post saying that the government should disclose all their information and not hide any secrets, it applies to EVERYTHING the government does.
Honestly, I'm surprised he wasn't taken out in a "accident"
Who has died as a result of these leaks?
You're missing the point. Leaks of information have killed people in the past. You're saying ALL information should be public, regardless of the effects it has. Unless you're one of those fuckbutts who think soldiers aren't people or something.

Unless you're one of those fuckbutts who think soldiers aren't people or something.
Uhh I'm not saying all information should be public. Wikileaks has a filtering system, and thus far it has not used its abilities to harm anyone. I've seen names blotted out, but I haven't seen any proof of it having any potential to hurt anyone.
are you sure though? cant you still be tried for treason even if you arent from that country?
I don't think it is technically Treason, since treason is betrayal of your own nation. However, the logic that Teal Moose is using means that spies are completely fine. You stick a Russian spy inside the government and he steals information, completely fine! Not really though...
Good.

Remember that one? Wikileaks: hurp durp, US is after me, so fuck them NATO countries as well, I'll just release something that could destroy international relationships.
[img_thumb]http://i.telegraph.co.uk/telegraph/multimedia/archive/01610/shoot_1610033c.jpg[/img_thumb] Right before the helicopter open fired
You think that is bad? How about you go look up Hernán Cortés and research what he had done. The entirety of Europe should be ashamed.
It could. Couldn't it?
Just stop. If you are just going to be one of those people that waits until something horrible happens before you admit that there is a problem, then you are of no value.
