You know even if a nuclear war were contained to just the middle east the whole world would get screwed right?
honestly i think in a fight New Zealand would win. it's always the quiet ones.

Hah, the Emu war comes to mind.
Nobody expected emu to win.
Fortunately this happened after we kicked out Stephen Harper, he who could not have taken more time and effort out of his busy schedule of running Canada to shove his entire head up Israel's ass for kisses. He'd have condemned NZ for not rolling over, wrecking the notion of Commonwealth unity.
The world as of late is acting like the point in late-game Civ where leaders randomly denounce other leaders because their AI is panicking that they are going to lose since 2050 is nearing fast
whats the meme about commonwealth unity somebody explain
Member states have no legal obligation to one another. Instead, they are united by language, history, culture and their shared values of democracy, human rights, and the rule of law.
just because you speak the same language or were colonized by the same country doesn't mean you have to vote some way or another to appease daddy britain and the rest of your siblings
or that they would help you

In WW2 Canada, Australia and NZ all declared war on Germany independently there was no obligation from what I know and that still exists today, we would help each other.

There's no actual obligation that I know of but NZ + Australia have pretty much always been very strongly allied despite any banter.
It's not definite but chances are if one nation got involved in a defensive war, chances are the other would get involved in one way or another, whether through direct involvement or indirect support.

Nvm, there is a defensive pact

Read the article.
Australia and NZ have obligations to eachother, while Aus + US also have obligations but NZ and US don't. US cancelled their obligations to NZ because NZ didn't want nuclear armed/nuclear powered ships in their ports.

And in other news, Breitbart, citing unnamed White House officials, has confirmed that Obama really is an extremist Al Queso Muslim attempting to destroy America from within!
Do wrong to a kiwi and you wrong the rest of the commonwealth bro I dare you.
I would be more scared of what Australia could do if Israel even tried anything against NZ.
Kiwis may have a smaller military compared to other major countries, but Australia is another story. I would not want to provoke them.

Ive read he personally employed Ahmed Mohamed to build the bomb i mean clock to blow up the white house the day he is evicted.
Yeah no NZ's military is, at best, there to be a top-notch supporting force to some other military. The army might hold its own for a while, but I can see half the NZ Navy moored to a singular wharf from my window, and we straight-up don't have any armed aircraft in the air force right now.
Mostly because fucking no-one has any reason to attack New Zealand. Like, the only two things we produce are dairy products and nice photo ops for tourists, and neither of those exist anymore when you try to Pearl Harbour the damn place.
A farmer popped the NZ spy agency's inflatable dome with a pitchfork a few years back and that was the biggest attack on NZ soil since rainbow warrior.
I've read the article(s)(I really need some context before I make this post) but from what I've gathered it's essentially "stop building on Palestine land and face Israels bashful comments or allow us to build on land we don't own"
You're building on land you don't fucking own.
What the hell are you doing? Obviously there's an agreement with this but this is also just for Jewish people?
Um? Am I missing something here?
And cause we voted to call on the Israeli goverment to stop this shit this is now a declaration of war?
You must be joking.
It's always been a pretty ugly situation over there. But only until now have we stopped turning a blind eye to their shady bullshit after it started becoming more of a problem.
Now they're showing their true colors on this. It's pretty disgusting to be honest to see Israel (Nethenyahu specifically) act like this in the face of the world.

Various agreements and Five Eyes.

It balances out then, NZ doesn't have the army for a full conflict, and Israel doesn't have the navy to transport their army :v:

By various agreements, I don't mean any that say the US must help NZ in any way, it was more reference to AUSCANNZUKUS and its related organizations. From the point of being a stable democracy, back the US in most things, contribute to the wars and take part in global surveillance, I would say NZ is worth defending from a US standpoint, because if the US can't defend two islands called New Zealand, then it can't defend anyone else.

If NZ got attacked, Australia would step in no questions asked to defend New Zealand homeland
Idk about the rest of the Commonwealth but Australia can always rely on new Zealand and vice versa. You'd be fucking with another powerful army
thanks lt. gen. fruxodaily
The ANZUS treaty would extend quite far, not to mention that other Commonwealth nations (UK, South Africa, Canada, Australia, India, etc.) would lend support.
As much as the US tries to maintain a strong relationship with Israel I doubt they would sit back and allow them to declare unprovoked war on New Zealand, especially since Australia would almost certainly be on the Kiwi's side and some other countries might give aid. That is if the US wants to maintain good relations in the south pacific. The ANZACs will stick together.
thanks lt. gen. fruxodaily
I already posted a legitimate treaty that guarantees the involvement of Australia and NZ in eachothers defensive conflicts, and yet to me it looks like you're choosing to ignore it.

yeah but israel would blow the fuck out of australia and new zealand so whatevs
I have to imagine their will be some political backlash to Israel after they threatened the peaceful kiwi people. As well the move won't deter NZ, so I ask why the PM of Israel would dare make a comment like this.

No they wouldn't? Australia and NZ have a pop near 30 million. Israel has 8 million and would be fighting a war on the other side of the world.
