In live up in Pennsylvania, and even here people are still freaking out about it.
I wouldn't mind if Irene hit us hard though; It would be nice to get the Weekend off Work for once.
Where in PA? I lived in York for 12 years...people freak out too easy man. PA hardly has any flood potential. The ones I know of are Lake Erie, Susquehanna river, Codorus creek and Lake Redman.
You don't get the weekend off? Do you work at mcdonalds in North Korea or something?
Retail stores are usually open 7 days a week, 364 days a year.
New Jersey Governor quote "Get the Hell off the beach"
I was listening to him on the radio today. When I heard him say that I realized he's not trying to comfort us, but save us. I'm still nervous for tomorrow night though.

I like a politician who doesn't BS around the issue.
I'm in North Brunswick which is like 40 minutes from the beach
Wind and rain come your way, as does it my way.
I live in Warwick, Rhode Island.
I think we're gonna be seeing a slight influx of H2O here.
So the streets of NYC are all empty? It'll be cool.....
Also, anyone have recordings of the emergency broadcast?
Just in:

I hear New Brunswick will probably face some bad flooding too. iirc They pushed off Rutgers move in for that reason.
Nasty looking outside here in Owings Mills, MD. (Near Baltimore)
Cloudless here in beautiful Vancouver. I might go out jogging in the 24c weather.
Edit: Then again, storm season starts in two months.
It's starting to pass over us now in Eastern NC, the worst is already gone. Lost power sometime early this morning, came back maybe an hour ago. Trees down everywhere, some flooding in some areas, and there were a few fatalities.

The storm is causing the animals in my town to go nuts. I almost ran directly into a doe this morning.
So many people in my neighborhood are pretty lucky. Trees missed many houses and cars by just inches.
Wow, a tree JUST missed my head by 3301 kilometers!
Just saw that Virginia got over 15 inches of rain.
Just heard there are 6 deaths now. Two of them were children.

Woodbridge? I'm in Monroe Township over here... not too far.
Also apparently, the hurricane shifted and is now going to make landfall on NJ. First since 1903.
