Two trees went through a friends house, one through his bedroom while they were sleeping.
Two trees went through a friends house, one through his bedroom while they were sleeping.
Hopefully little trees that just broke through windows? Or is it a lot worse?
Hopefully little trees that just broke through windows? Or is it a lot worse?
They came through the roof, apparently the whole roof is caved in in that room. Gonna check it out tomorrow morning.
Woodbridge? I'm in Monroe Township over here... not too far. Also apparently, the hurricane shifted and is now going to make landfall on NJ. First since 1903.
Oh shit, that's not going to be good for any NJers here.
Woodbridge represent.
Awesome man, I'm from Union Beach, But i live in New York now, and we are still going to get hit pretty hard due to the storms path, Nothin' better than living in mountains and watching a tropical storm creeping up to us.
Oh shit, that's not going to be good for any NJers here.
It's going to hit Atlantic City, go through the barrier islands, toms river, back into the sea, then into NY.
It begins. No idea where my parents are. My Mom is suppose to be working at the hospital and my Dad was going ahead to drop her off. It's been well over 2 hours since then. I hope they are alright.

Fuck!! A tree almost fell on my house. Landed right next to my room :tinfoil: [editline]edit[/editline] I'm alive and I'm getting the crap out of this room
The Rain is slowly passing Philadelphia now. We're all safe now, and I can sleep tonight with no worry even though it might continue on into the night. The winds were very strong though. Two years ago when we had wind like this, It threw our glass patio table into the air and shattered it into countless pieces. It was scary shit...
North of VA beach is fine for right now. The carnage starts in a couple hours.
Nothing too serious happening here yet, although shits going down tonight and by shit I mean the electric wires
I heard New York is weathering it pretty well, I hear right?
New York isn't getting the worst of it yet.
I live in Brooklyn, New York. only weather im getting are high winds and rain here and there. some thunder. nothing too bad. I have yet to get a power outage.
Irene has taken 10 American lives so far.
Not too bad in south eastern Pennsylvania yet. Although from the looks of most charts we are going to get the bad stuff Sunday.
Anyone else in PA lose power? We lost power at about 12 AM EST..Still not back, I'm just tethering my phone while my laptop's battery lasts..Just checking things out.
Irene has taken 10 American lives so far.
that sucks. what was the location of most of the deaths?
that sucks. what was the location of most of the deaths?
North Carolina had 5, Virginia had 2 and the newspaper didn't report where the last took place.
Isn't Irene a Category 1 (the weakest category)? I mean, it won't be that bad will it? I guess the big thing is that it's going into immensely populated areas and the damages will be crazy, but i don't think that many people will die...except people that are stupid and stay even though they're told to leave.
Power went out in West Warwick, Rhode Island, but laptop is still on. umad hurricane? umad bro?

Still alive. I got pretty worried when they said a tornado might hit near my town.
Nothing happened here Northwest of Baltimore... People over-react. The folks on the coast, that must have sucked though.
