Typically Muslim people living throughout Russia, Ukraine and probably other slavic countries. Tatarstan is their main land within Russia. They present an interesting problem to the Crimea situation since while a lot of Crimea is pro-Russia, the Tatars that live there are pro-Ukraine. Other fact, apparently they invented the some form of the horse saddle that's widely used. I don't know how true that is but that's all I really remember.
The difference is that Turkey is Muslim, to put it bluntly
Thats a bit too blunt. Turkeys behavior is pretty unacceptable.

Tatars that right now live at Crimea support Russia, most of reports about "crimes against tatarians from crimea" come from self proclaimed leader of meslis (who is not even allowed to pennisulia for being a trigger happy idiot) that supported cutting wires of electric networks and a bunch of affiliated tatarians nationalists that support him in such acts.
Since he's a part of a huge PR campaign supported by Poroshenko's goverment i'd take anything from him with. Kamaz load of salt.
The EU, Schengen area and maybe even NATO will be gone in five years, the leader of the Ukrainian Radical Party, Oleg Lyashko, has said, responding to European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker’s comments that Ukraine would not become an EU or NATO member in the next 20 to 25 years.
“Indeed, Ukraine will not be an EU member, as because of the policy carried out by the leadership of the united Europe, there will be no EU in 5 years,” Lyashko wrote on his Facebook page.

The bigger problem with Turkey is its human rights violations, refusing to admit to the Armenian genocide and so on.
TBH they can keep denying the genocide if they want, but they still keep killing kurds even as the Kurds themselves took power in the government elections. I know it's more complicated than that but their current leader is content to fan the flames of war instead of seak a solution both sides can live with

Or maybe just take everything you say with a "Kamaz load of salt"
Don't worry, the EU will collapse and EU will join Ukraine!
