The men in the film sacrificed themselves so that the nurturing and caring, but strong and independent women with no character flaws and sad backgrounds could save the oppressed people of the desert city.
The men in the film were mostly depicted as suicidal zealots who only cared about their own survival or glory, while the women were the ones with culture and history.
I really enjoyed the movie, but seriously, it was some forced feminism in there, and I personally didnt like it. anyone else can have their own opinion
Is that why all the female lead was doing in actuality was [sp]looking for redemption[/sp] as she straight-up says herself and Max ended up saving her by [sp]hooking her up to his blood supply?[/sp]
Also what are you talking about "the men sacrificed themselves so the women could save the city?" The only other fucking male character that was on their side aside from Max was [sp]the fucking guy who was raised worshiping that one asshole waiting to go to Valhalla just like all the other males in that society. He tried TWICE to blow himself up along with Max and that whole entourage and only stopped because their ~glorious leader~ saw him fuck up so badly.[/sp] You're completely disregarding the fact that these people are acting like this because of their surroundings. They weren't born in the world we live in and transported to that one, they were raised that way. You can't expect them to be as intelligent as you seem to do. This is like acting like that child-only society in Fallout 3 is trying to give a political message about the strength of children on their own and how we treat them unfairly or some shit instead of just [sp]"the adults treated us like shit and left us for dead, so we turned on them."[/sp]
I mean I'm sure I could go find more shit to prove you wrong but I'll wait until DVD release instead of going to a theater and taking notes.

It would only be forced feminism if only the men got hurt. Need I remind you of the scene where [sp]a pregnant woman goes under the wheels of a monster truck?[/sp]
Well good deal for more Mad Max sequels.
[SP] Though, watching the scenes with the "things" on stilts and the girls seeing the satellite in the sky. I wonder if they might explain if there is actually remnants of civilizations scattered across the world, maybe some cities might still be intact, or some military faction might still exist as well, Considering Immortan Joe was actually a colonel. Though about the "things" and the deformed sons of Immortan Joe, i wonder if there would actually be Mutants due to the Nuclear Fallout[/SP]

and she [sp] survives, for some stupid reason. [/sp]
and she [sp] survives, for some stupid reason. [/sp]
No...
No, she doesn't.
and she [sp] survives, for some stupid reason. [/sp]
[sp]No she doesn't and the kid is stillborn.[/sp]
and she [sp] survives, for some stupid reason. [/sp]
oh my god lmao
firstly, I think you should go back to school and learn more about politics, and secondly pay more attention next time you watch a movie

I'm seriously questioning if you saw the same film we did, because most of the things you've said that happen in the film are wrong.
Perhaps he was too traumatized from the visons of the Amazonian overclass taking all men to the mandatory neutering centers to remember the movie.

The explosions and action stopped in those scenes. :v:
He maybe used the time to write his friends on whatsapp to tell them about the feminist bullshit he has to go through.
Oh btw. watched it yesterday... it was a blast, the "Ben Hur" of this generation.
I'm so glad they created the film with all the effort that went into it and that they could pull it off, the way they
imagined it to be in the end. It's no brainless action flick, no "product" it's a masterpiece in my eyes.
I cannot wait for a possible directors cut release and the sequel.
is fury road a great and electrifying flick to watch? yes.
does it have deep storytelling? of course.
would i compare it to ben hur? not really. ben hur is an historical epic.
[sp]No she doesn't and the kid is stillborn.[/sp]
[sp]she has a "faint heartbeat" if i remember correctly, then they cut the kid out of her[/sp]
[sp]she has a "faint heartbeat" if i remember correctly, then they cut the kid out of her[/sp]
[sp]they literally said in that scene that she was more or less dead and that there were nothing they could do for her[/sp]
[sp]and as you can clearly see by how the kid is more or less SLAMMED at some surface, it died due to the damages done to them both[/sp]
you know, you COULD actually stop browsing r/theredpill and watch the movie instead during your stay in the threatre

[sp] So the woman still survived getting run over by a monstertruck or what car was it. if she died after that it wasnt addressed, kek [/sp]

Ben Hur of this generation. Not talking about the timeless status of the movie or compared them.
Fury Road has a lot of significance for the 2010s and will be still important in the future.
Just my thoughts on the feminist comments. [sp]I admit I can't recall all the story details. A shame really because I loved the movie. The only time I felt a lot of GIRL POWER was when Furiosa's clan turned out to be only women. I quickly remembered that Road Warrior had a gang of only men and I took it as a part of this crazy world to see all-female clan. I think they mentioned guys, too, so maybe Furiosa reached her clan with only couple of female survivors left. I want to say that's the case but my memories fail me. I do remember her clan had something along the lines of "elder mothers".[/sp]
In the end the female characters didn't bother me and I liked the movie didn't care about genders that much. The wifes, Furiosa and other females were simply part of the world. I think both the MRA and feminists are too eager to call this a feminist movie.
It's basically people seeing identity politics bullshit where it doesn't exist. The world of Mad Max is cruel and gone to hell, where the insane rule. Doesn't matter if your man or woman. It will fuck you up.

[sp]The biological mechanic said "it's sounding real quiet in there" after Immortan asked if the baby was alright. I seriously fucking doubt you were paying any amount of attention, if you even saw the movie to begin with.
Not to mention he fucking sliced her stomach open and ripped a baby out of her.[/sp]

I don't like it when Facepunch debates more serious issues. It'll all end in tears.
One of the more genuinely entertaining movies I've seen in a while.
It doesn't really have a deep story or even commentary but I sure dig the aesthetics and general feel of the world.

Okay mother fucker if you think this MANLY movie is made for feminists or whatever the shit then you clearly didn't see what I saw.
Max was given plenty of attention and was the main character just as much as he was in every other Mad Max film before.
Cars cars and even more cars.
Gratuitous violence.
Warboys ready to die in extreme ways to go to Valhalla
THIS FUCKING GUY

You're spewing dumb shit, getting chastised for it, and then whining.
If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.
